BAMS: The flagship program of Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College, Mangaluru is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). It is a six-year full-time course including one year of compulsory internship. Admission to the BAMS course is strictly based on the merit of the candidate in the NEET-UG examination. The college campus covers an area of 60.84 acres with adequate space, which is an ideal place for Ayurvedic education and practice.
BAMS program in Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College has been designed so that students learn and practice appropriate knowledge in the field of Ayurvedic medicine. Students are taught with extensive expertise in every aspect of Ayurveda: Kayachikitsa, Shalya tantra, Shalakya tantra, Prasuti tantra, Panchakarma, Kaumarabhritya, Agada tantra, and Swasthavritta. The college has an Ayurveda 100-bedded hospital, whereby students gain direct experience in the clinical grounds.
