Performing Arts course provides education related to entertainment (performance art); Dance, Drama and Music. The courses in performing art are Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) and Master of Performing Arts (MPA).

The eligibility criteria are based on the performance of the student in the respective examinations. For both BPA and MPA, there are exams or interviews before admission in a particular field.
BPA
Aspiring students for Bachelor of Performing Art should have at least 10+2 level of qualification or any similar qualification. Students are required to have crossed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
All the institutes providing this course demand a minimum of 50% marks in Senior Secondary level Examination from a government recognized school. Some institutes like BHU have their entrance exams and then practical exams. Students should visit their official site before applying.
MPA
Masters in Performing Arts demands a degree in Bachelors for the students to be eligible. Prime institutes may take an interview session before providing admission. And the student must have achieved a minimum of 50% aggregate in Bachelor degree. The upper limit for some institutes is 60% and heavily depends on the students’ ability.
There are very few universities which conduct entrance exams for both bachelor and master degrees in Performing Arts. Generally, BHU (Banaras Hindu University) and LPU (Lovely Professional University) conduct entrance exams. BHU is known to conduct the exams in a stepwise manner, that is first there is written paper and then a practical.
Both the universities follow different protocols after students are shortlisted and given admission based on their performance. The questions are mainly related to various forms of instrument and equipment used in the field; various cultures and art types, etc.
Check their sites for a better understanding of the subject. The number of seats is very limited; therefore, the students are advised to prepare for the exam/practical accordingly with an interview; it finally depends on the institute.
As this is a Master’s course, thus you can expect a little hike in the salary range. The income, in the end, is only dependent on the capabilities of the person and his/her creativity. The job profiles are the same as BPA.
