see brainware university , kolkata situated in barasat. however this is a private university , offers 3 years b.sc course in biotechnology.

total 3 years course fees is 250000. which can be paid as in semester wise in installments.

since the bsc in biotechnology course is totally new in brainware university. however I  would recommend you to go for govt institute.

admission for the course bachelor of technology in brainware university, kolkata is done on the basis of WB JEE score , this is a state level entrance exam conducted by west bengal joint entrance examinations board (WBJEEB) , the basic eligibility criteria for same is candidate must have passed their 10+2 from recognized board with science stream subject having physics ,chemistry and mathematics and must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45 percent marks

Techno India Salt Lake is among top notch colleges of West Bengal while Brainware University is among new ones. But Brainware University is not any less. The faculties are extremely talented. Placements are done here properly. Companies like Wishbag, Digital Googly, Life Production etc recruit students from Brainware University. But the placements are not so good. Only few students get placed. On the other hand, placememtwise Techno India Salt Lake is a level higher. The placement percentage is around 75%. ABP Ananda, Aaj Tak, Radio Mirchi, Sangeet Bangla etc hire students from Media Sciences of Techno India with an average package of 25,000 to 30,000 per month. BYJU'S also recruit students as digital Marketer or Sales Executive.

Both of these are excellent Universities. On paper, MMU Ambala has better showings as it's been consistently in the top 50 Universities of India by The Week, NIRF etc. For the various courses it offers.

Now, Maharishi Markandeshwar University or MMU is widely recognized through the country. The infrastructure leaves no room for complaints. The laboratories and classrooms that are well maintained and technologically upgraded, the libraries that are always open to students, hygienic canteen services are some of the best features of MMU's Infrastructure. The faculties are no let-downs either, as they're all highly qualified and experienced. They're approachable to students and professional in their working. The course curriculum, too, is relevant to the industry demand. The placements are offered in companies like Vodafone, Flipkart, Sarvodaya, Ventures etc. Internships are also readily available for students. The average salary package offered is around 4LPA

For Brainware University, Kolkata, the infrastructure is no slouch either. The labs and classrooms are well maintained. Some personal reviews suggest that canteen services can be lacking at times. The facilities such as libraries that are provided for students are excellent as well. The faculties much like MMU are well qualified and excellent. The minimum attendance criteria is taken rather seriously in this University. Regularly programs are arranged to train students for interviews and communication on a professional level. Since you have tagged Brainware University, I'm answering accordingly. For Brainware University, you don't need to give JEE Mains or WBJEE for getting admission in B.Pharma. The eligibility criteria of this University is as follows:
1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 having physics, chemistry, and maths/biology as compulsory subjects, from a recognised board.
2. Minimum marks required is 45% in both theory and practical paper.
3.Candidate must have passed English in 10+2 level with atleast 30% marks.
4. Minimum age limit is 17years as on 31st December 2020.
Note: Candidates awaiting results can also apply on provisional basis.
