Ph.D Management at GKV Haridwar Offline Course

Admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master's degree in main subject/ allied subject or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) /PWD Differently Abled) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC/Govt. of India from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

Note:-

(i) A candidate holding Acharya Degree in allied subjects which are given in Table-1 with atleast 55% marks in aggregate from a recognised University/Institution shall also be eligible for registration in Ph.D. degree in Veda, Sanskrit, Philosophy & Yoga subjects.

(ii) Candidate must check carefully and ensure that he/she fulfills the minimum eligibility mentioned in the Information Broucher and Rules & Regulations before submitting the application form. If the candidate's eligibility is found incomplete/incorrect at any stage during admission process and after admission, his/her admission will be cancelled for which he/she will be solely responsible.

Direct Admission of the candidate for Ph.D. programme Those candidates who fulfil one of the following requirements may be considered for Direct Admission to Ph.D. programme.

(i) A candidate who has passed NET-JRF/NET/SLET /SET/ GATE/M.Phil examination. GATE/SET/SLET Certificate should be valid as on last date of application.

(ii) A candidate who is a teacher fellowship holder selected under Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) /Faculty Development Programme (FDP)/Faculty Imporvement Programme (FIP).

Part Time:

The eligibility criteria for part time Ph.D. programme shall be the same as that for full time Ph.D. Programme. Additionally, the candidates seeking admission in part time Ph.D. programme need to fulfill the following conditions and provide the relevant document along with the application:-

1. Candidate working as a regular employee in any Government Department (State Govt./Centre Govt./Autonomous) or Public Sector Undertaking/Registered Industry/Company will be eligible for admission to PartTime Ph.D. Programme.

2. The applicant must have been in continuous service for at least Three years at the time of submitting the application form for admission and he/she must submit a 'No Objection Certificate' from the present employer stating that:

(i) He/ she is on the regular payroll of the organization

(ii) He/ she is permitted to pursue studies for part-time Ph.D. programme

The Departmental Research Committee (DRC) shall ensure the fulfillment of the above mentioned conditions at the time of interview/counseling with all requisite documentary evidences.
