48 Months- The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT) was earlier the M.S Ramaiah College of Hotel Management which was established in 1993. The Faculty offers a 4-year undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) degree
- The Undergraduate Programme in Hotel Management aims to impart knowledge and skills for the hospitality industries coupled with general education. The combination of core education and general education can provide a broad base of knowledge essential for the hospitality industry. The graduates produced will be able to meet the human resources requirement of the hospitality industry, or may take the entrepreneurial route for their career advancement. Moreover, this acts as a first course to develop further expertise in a chosen domain.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pass 10+2 examination from a recognized board in any stream.
- Any International qualification approved by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 examination
- Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management (Lateral Entry) shall be open to candidates who hold a one year certificate course in either Food & Beverage or Rooms Division from a recognized Board/University and a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized board in any stream.
- Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management (Lateral Entry) shall be open to candidates who hold a one year certificate course in either Food & Beverage or Rooms Division through recognized distance education programme of a Board/University with a minimum of 1 year of experience in any hospitality sector and a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized board in any stream.
