    College Infrastructure

I believe that the college has the best infrastructure in terms of being a hotel management College with state of the art classrooms, fully equipped kitchens, training rooms for each department. Got a beautiful library.

    Academics

Pursuing BHM quality of education is excellent and the faculty are all well versed in their respective fields. Best place to study for hotel management with good placement opportunities and internship options.

    Placements

Top level talent hunting with all big brands in hospitality coming for placements. 100% placement. The college is super supportive when it comes to placement. Big brands like Marriott, taj, itc, oberois, Accor.

    Value for Money

Cost 3.5lakhs a year. I'd say it's worth it with the knowledge and skill set you'll develop with the various certifications you'll be getting and most of all the experience and the connections you make.

    Amazong campus, well structured curriculum

    College Infrastructure

WGSHA has one of the best infrastructure among all the other hospitality colleges in India. One of the main reason I chose WGSHA without looking the ROI is it's infrastructure. They use advanced technologies and equipments. Provides WI-FI, Hostel, Mess, Indoor and outdoor sports arena and many other facilities for the students and staff. New WGSHA building has helped us immensely for our placements with its new equipments and facilities. The mess food is also the best. I haven't been sick even for a day after eating from the campus mess.

    Academics

I studied Bachelor of Culinary arts. Its a 3 year degree and WGSHA provided a very structured curriculum with a lot of add ons. Faculty was supportive and friendly. They encouraged us to learn more and dive deeper into the curriculum. They taught us HR, marketing, Finance, purchase and control, business communication inspite of pursuing a culinary degree. They also provided city and guilds certification in kitchen production or patisserie. They even conducted WSET wine tasting sessions and provided certification. Even though the course is expensive it's super worth it.

    Placements

Placements were great. Big companies like hyatt, hilton, marriott, etc visited the campus. The selection rounds involved GD and Interviews. Chef Arup was the placement cordinator and he made sure he puts an extra effort to get everyone placed. The average package is about 3-4 lakhs which is as per the industry standards.

    Value for Money

The ROI is is average. For me the total course fees was 9 lakhs. And there were companies that were offering 4-6 LPA. I did not sit for placements as I opted for further studies. The money is worth it for the environment and expsoure whether it was sports, industry, co-curricular, or anything else.

    Campus Life

Amazing campus life. There are students coming from different parts of thr worlds, it offers so much diversity. Manipal has become a nostalgia for me now, even a small town can become a beautiful place with the right group of friends.

Giving a review to my college was a wonderful experience.

    College Infrastructure

When it comes to infrastructure, my College truly stands out. Pursuing a BA in Culinary arts meant that I spent a lot of time in kitchens, and I can confidently say that they were world class. Apart from the kitchen the overall infrastructure of the campus was equally impressive. The classrooms were modern, spacious and well-lit creating a great atmosphere for learning. There was a culinary museum which had all the old utensils and pots.overall the infrastructure of my college played a huge role in shaping my learning experience.

    Academics

Studying BA culinary arts was an obvious choice for me because of my love for cooking. I've always been passionate about creating and experimenting with food. The faculty members are not only well qualified but also bring real world industry experience to the table. The curriculum too is well-designed and keeps up with the latest trends and developments in the culinary world. The hands on approach makes us ready for the jobs.

    Placements

The quality of placements at my college was really good. Right from the beginning the college emphasizes building a strong foundation for students.in terms of numbers the placement rates are high. Placements come from a lot of big companies and mostly everyone is placed. The salary package initially comes between 20 k to 60 k per month.

    Value for Money

The ba culinary arts program costed for me about 980000 rsand i genuinely feel it was worth it. When you consider the level of infrastructure provided the quality of teaching, placements and practical exposure the investment feels justified.

    Campus Life

College life was really good and vibrant.onr of the unique aspects of our college was the mentor -mentee program, where each student was assigned a faculty member. If students had any problem the mentor would be there.varioisvother events and cultural's were also conducted in the campus.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is really good. WGSHA built a new academic building last year which has really impressive facilities for the students to learn and grow. Although, I just got to experience one year out of the 4 years of BHM in the new building, the experience was worthwhile as it included a luxurious housekeeping mock room with 5 star hotel standard and has two big hot kitchens and one baking kitchen along with a mock front office room. The library looks like very modern. They also have a DOCA building (Department of culinary arts) which is mainly for the BACA (Culinary) student which has more than 5 specilized kitchens. But overall Im very satisfied and impressed with the new building of WGSHA. The mess is very hygenic and students are made to monitor the hygenie and food menu as its a hotel management college. Classrooms are new and are cleaned on a daily basis. Student presentations are made on smart boards. Latest equipments for all the departments are provided for learning purposes.

    Academics

The curriculum that WGSHA follows is well updated. Faculties are all very knowledgeable about their domain. I even learnt about various subjects other than the core hotel management subjects like Digital Marketing, Revenue Management, Business stats, Environmental science, strategic management and so on. But, the faculties are average in english communication. They also allow us to cook in the mess on a rotational menu basis.

    Placements

Placements are top-notch. In my batch everyone got placed with decent packages. They trained me personally for placements making sure I crack it. Almost all the globals players like Marriott, ITC, Taj, Hilton, Hyatt, Oberoi comes for placement and offers management trainee positions in various departments. Average salary would be around 3.5 lakhs LPA. Since my batch was a batch of 165-170 students, the competitiveness was more. Selection process includes a CV shortlisting, group discussion round, personal interview round, panel interview round. But again it depends on the hotel about how they want to conduct it based on the size of applicants.

    Value for Money

When it comes to the exposure it stands out. The sports facilities, events, competitions that the college takes us for and the infrastructure is highly value for money but when it comes to ROI it is not value for money as ROI is very low. The total course fee is 14,00,00 for my batch and the average package that we got was just 3.5 lakhs. That practically takes 4 years to get back what we paid. Overall the value for money is average.

    Campus Life

Campus life is the best part of staying in Manipal. There are more than 10 colleges in Manipal. You get to meet a lot of people from different colleges where you can improve your networking. Even the students are upto date about the modern trends.

    Others

Overall it is an amazing college, packages offered by the industry could have been better.
