Dear aspirant,
I would like to tell you that iem kolkata is a very strict college and they keep their students in discipline so I don't think you can enjoy your hostel Life but the college has good placements so you can take that if your aim is not nit or iit or Jadavpur.
Greetings!
There is no big difference between the both as both are Engineering degree courses . Both these courses have a lot of theory and practical applications.
If you're interested in both Hardware and Software you may very well choose CSE.
If you're interested in only Software, then you may very well choose CST.
However it will never make any much difference.
Dear Student,
This is one of the world class Private University. The Campus life is healthy, fresh lush green campus. There are three canteens in the campus. The food is also good in that canteens. The hostel is also very good. The library of this institute is full of books almost 9000 in number. Various social work is also done by the rotaracts club. The tech fest and the cultural fest is very famous.

Hello Arindam,
The Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) is a government Institution while University of Engineering and Management (UEM) is a private Institution. Among these two, UEM is among the top ranked colleges in state of West Bengal and therefore it's cutoffs are high. While, you can easily get admission in IEM through an entrance exam conducted by them.
In the placement view, IEM seems to have higher placement records than UEM.

The CS engineering programme usually deals with how to build micro processors, how to write a compiler etc. IT is the business side of computers - usually dealing with databases, business, and accounting. One way to think of it is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes and CSE deals with the “science” that facilitates these applications.
Further, while CSE focuses on the foundation of computing, IT as a discipline focuses on satisfying the computing technology needs of organisations. So, in a continuum between principles and application, IT focuses more on application, with the goal being to apply knowledge of computing sciences for solving problems. However, as the foundations of IT are in Computer Science, Indian universities and colleges deem it feasible to have a CS-based IT programme. This allows a graduate of the programme to choose a career in CS or IT, based on their choice and availability of job prospects. And mostly corporates make little difference between these disciplines while selecting students.
The nature of the industry requirements in the country also plays a crucial role. Since most of the companies in this sector focus on application development and maintainance at best, the need for hard core reserach level employees is minimal. So even if a student is taught subjects like chip design architecture, machine level languages , his or her chances of getting a career in that domain is minimal.
UEM kolkata is a good college and the average package was 6lacs and last year.
ALL THE BEST
Dear Bedatreekarmakar,
1.)Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of technology
Placements: Placements are provided in this college as assured at the time of admission. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini, CTS, etc., visit campus for placements. A good number of students get a job before they graduate from the campus held in college.

The library has a good collection of books plus its software is managed in the cloud as a result of which we students can access library from our home over the internet.
Faculty: Faculty members in college are good. They take care of the students who are weak in academics so that they can overcome their limitations.
2.)UEM Kolkata

There is a canteen in college, and a sports ground is available for playing basketball, football or cricket. Faculty: Teachers here are professionals, educated, very helpful and qualified. The campus life is very good. Teachers always support students. The course fee Rs. 50,000 per semester.
So from the above content i will suggest you Dinabandhu Andrews institute of technology for BCA course.
I hope you got the answer!!
ALL THE BEST!!
If you have any query then feel free to ask!!
Infrastructure is spacious with accomodating classrooms labs and auditorium however it does not have any play area or grounds that should provide a balance between Curricular and extra Curricular Activities.
It has an impressive infrastructure with modern classrooms, different type of labs and has spacious auditorium. It lacks with sports area. Overall, the college provides a conductive learning, balancing academic and extracurricular activities
UEM boasts state of the art infrastructure with modern classroom, advanced laboratories, a well stocked library, advanced laboratories and extensive sports faculties thus providing an optimal environment for academic and extracurricular excellence.
