Aditya College of Nursing, Bangalore Admission Process

Aditya College of Nursing, Bangalore, is a nursing institute that offers all types of nursing programs. The college is affiliated with INC and has a very elaborate admission process aimed at choosing the most viable candidates for its various nursing courses. It is situated in Yelahanka, Bangalore, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses as well. The admission process at Aditya College of Nursing usually starts with the declaration of applications for different courses. The college selects candidates based on their performance in qualifying examinations. For some programs, the college conducts entrance examinations. Personal interviews may also be a part of the selection process for some courses.

For undergraduate programs like B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, the minimum qualification required is completion of 10+2 education with science subjects. For postgraduate programs like M.Sc Nursing in different specializations, a bachelor's degree in nursing is the minimum qualification.

Application Process

For admissions into Aditya College of Nursing, Bangalore, applicants undergo the following process:

1. Application Notification: The institute releases its notice announcing the starting date for applying for various nursing programs that are being offered at its respective website as well as on other electronic media.

2. Application Form: The interested candidate should download or obtain the application form and fill in the details in the form. The application forms may be available on the institution's website or can be collected from the campus of the institution.

3. Document Submission: Along with the application form, the candidates have to submit the following documents:

Four-dimensional requirements are,

  • Mark sheet of qualifying exam (10 + 2, for undergraduate programme and Bachelor Degree for post-graduate programme),
  • Valid photo ID proof;
  • Passport Size Photographs, 
  • In case of BC/SC student caste certificate ;
  • Experience Certificate for Post basic B.Sc.Nursing App.

4: Application Fee,

  • All applicants require an application fee paid as mentioned within the application form.
  • And the form to pay and in what amount; will be decided in the time of application submission.

5. Entrance Examination: For some courses, the college would offer entrance examination of aptitude and knowledge level of the candidates in related fields.

6. Interview: Personal interview with the short-listed candidates for postgraduate courses.

7. Merit List: Based on the performance of candidates in qualifying examinations, entrance tests if conducted and interviews, merit list would be prepared.

8. Counseling and Admission: The selected candidates are called for counseling wherein they are provided with the freedom to select the course of their choice, if available. Final admission is sought after document verification and payment of fees.

9. Orientation: The admitted students are made to attend an orientation program to orient them with the college, facilities, and structure of the courses.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: This is a four-year undergraduate program with an intake of 60 students. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with science subjects are eligible to apply. The admission process may include consideration of marks in the qualifying examination and possibly an entrance test.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This program has 50 seats and is meant for the registered nurses seeking upgradation in their qualification. Applicants should be having a diploma in nursing and relevant experience. The process of selection can be based on previous academic record and work experience.

M.Sc Nursing: Aditya College of Nursing offers five specializations, namely Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Paediatric Nursing with an intake capacity of 5 seats in each specialization. Candidate should have completed B.Sc. Nursing. An entrance examination along with an interview may be taken for admission purposes.

GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery, which is a diploma program for 40 students. It's ideal for applicants who have already completed their 10+2 education. Admissions are taken based on assessment of the student's academic credentials in the examination qualifying them to seek admission to the course.
