Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Shimoga, Karnataka, India, are considered one of the Best Ayurvedic Education Institutions in Karnataka.  The BAMS course is a six-year full-time course and constitutes the backbone of the institute. Eligibility criteria for admission to the BAMS program include successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Candidates must also qualify in the NEET examination, which is the sole entrance test considered for admissions to the BAMS course at this institute.

Application Process 

Application process at Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Shimoga:

1. NEET Examination: Sit for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. NEET Result: The candidate has to wait for the results of NEET. Those who qualify for NEET will only be allowed to apply.

3. Counseling Registration: Obtain state-level counseling process. Because the college falls under Karnataka, the candidate will have to follow Karnataka NEET counseling process

4. Submission of documents. The candidate shall submit the following documents at counseling process-

  • NEET score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Birth certificate proof
  • Domicile certificate, if necessary
  • Category certificate, if necessary
  • All other documents asked by counseling authority

5. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted according to the NEET scores and choices which were filled during counseling.

6. Reporting to the College: Report to the institute within the stipulated time frame with all original documents and the required fees if a seat has been allotted for Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College.

7. Medical Examination: As per the college's requirements, get a medical examination done.

8. Admission Process Completion- submit undertakings as deemed appropriate and the final remaining procedures with the respective college.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery):

The BAMS is the flagship course of Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Shimoga. Admission into the course is made strictly on merit based on NEET performance. The duration of the course is six years which gives a detailed understanding of the subject of Ayurveda medicine and its hands-on practice.

Eligibility criteria for BAMS:

The candidates must have successfully completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

- Qualifying NEET test

- Meeting minimum age as stipulated in the NEET exam

Selection will be through preparation of a merit list considering scores obtained in NEET exams. Score sheet of NEET is also submitted by candidates at the time of admission.
