Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College, Vadodara Admission Process

Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College (BHMC), Vadodara, is one of the most eminent institutions in Gujarat, India, offering homoeopathic education. The college is affiliated with the Central Council of Homeopathy and grants both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in homoeopathy. BHMC conducts its admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants on the basis of national-level entrance tests. Normally, the admission cycle starts after completing the aforementioned examination. NEET scores are accepted for undergraduate applicants into BHMC. For postgraduate students, comprises of relying on the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) for admissions. 

Eligibility requirements are different for various programs. Candidates who wish to pursue BHMS must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as core subjects. Applicants for the postgraduates must be graduates with a BHMS from a recognized institution. The important dates concern the admission process, which merge with those of the national-level entrance exams. NEET is usually held in May, and results are published in June. Application Process

Across both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the application process for BHMC would be as follows:

For the BHMS program:

  1. Qualify NEET with the required percentile/score.
  2. Register for the counseling process at the state level.
  3. Fill out the counseling form and pay the fee.
  4. Upload the required documents as specified by the counseling authority.
  5. Attend the seat allotment process.
  6. If allotted a seat at BHMC then confirm admission and report the college for document verification.

For MD Programs:

  1. Qualify for the AIAPGET, scoring a minimum of 50% marks.
  2. Register for the centralized AYUSH PG courses counseling processing system.
  3. Fill in counselling application form and deposit application fee.
  4. Upload all requisite documents, such as BHMS degree, the internship completion certificate, and AIAPGET score card.
  5. Participate in the counseling and seat allotment process.
  6. If selected for BHMC, then report to the college for completing the final admission procedure.

Degree wise Admission Process

BHMS: Admission into BHMS at BHMC is based on NEET. The undergraduate seats are hundred for this program and candidates are obliged to qualify in NEET and take part in the centralized counseling process for seat allocations.

MD Homoeopathic Materia Medica: 6 vacancies have been allocated for this program. Admission shall be secured through AIAPGET and centralized counseling process. Candidates must possess BHMS degree as well as a minimum of 50% in AIAPGET.

MD Homoeopathic Repertory and Case Taking: The same as with other MD programs, this has 6 seats and an AIAPGET-based admission system. Pre-requisite, it demands a BHMS degree, while students must clear the score threshold of 50% in AIAPGET.

MD Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy: This has 4 seats. The admission process is like other MD courses, requiring qualification in AIAPGET and then counseling.

MD Practice of Medicine: This program has 3 seats under it; the admission mode follows that of other MD courses at BHMC.

MD Paediatrics: This specialized MD course similarly has 3 seats, and the admissions follow the standard post-graduate entry by AIAPGET admission.

Required documents for both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions normally include:

  • Mark sheets and certificates of the 10th and 12th standards
  • NEET/AIAPGET score cards
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Valid ID proof
  • BHMS degree and internship completion certificates (for PG courses).
