Bidhanagar Govt College has good infrastructure and laboratory. Everyday they keep neat and clean surroundings. We have the best library im our college. The Hostel is kept very clean daily and facilities are quite good .
Bidhanagar Govt College the academics, the college provides a lot of opportunities for the students. Apart from regular curriculum there are many other extracurricular activities and co-curriculur activities. It tied up with reputed and well known institutions like TIME, LIVEWIRE and also with platforms like Courser and Udemy. Only thing is that the students should make use of the great opportunities.
There has been very poor quality of placements at our college. Only 10 percent of all students are placed from campus. Average salary is very less which is given through placement to maintain standard of living.
Yes value for money
Campus life is good. Cool environment this college .
Nothing else
Very poor infrastructure, poor labs and facilities, class rooms are congested, lack of space. But the college is in prime location of Kolkata. Teachers are reluctant and not good at teaching and very partial.
Poor academics, the teachers forget to take classes on regular days, no notes ar eprovided properly, library does not have sufficient books. Teachers provide ppt and notes on the night before the exam.
No placement opportunities as Bidhan Nagar College is a general science college. There is no placement cell that is existent within the college. After you graduate you have to figure out your own path.
Fees is very low as Bidhan Nagar College is a government college. So it seems value for money but there is no return except the degree certificate on the little amount you are investing. Think before you leap.
Very poor campus life, although is located within Kolkata city, but the location is morderately accessible. No campus engagement programs, no facilities or events for students of the college by the authority.
Infrastructure can be made better. Lab facilities can be improved. More improvement can be done towards sports centres. Library is good. More improvement can be done in canteens. Infrastructure of classrooms needs to be improved.
Academics is good. Teachers are helpful. Process for taking books from library is also easy. Lab classes help to understand theory better im microbiology . Quality of teavhing is very good. Teachers are very cooperative.
Does not provide placements in bsc microbiology. It will be better if placements opportunities are provided to students so that they gain some knowledge and experience and prepare themselves for interviews.
Fees is very less so it's good
Campus life is average
It was a good experience in this college.
The college is pretty big and has many classrooms...the labs r pretty well equipped... there's a huge ground which is very useful for geography students for our practicals...also for recreation purposes...the central library has a huge collection of required books...and every department has their own libraries too...
I'm pursuing BSc geography hons and we have five professors at the moment... The teaching quality is pretty good and fun...we r supplied by enough study materials for theory and practicals both...The classes r informative and interesting...
This is an honours college and they do not offer placements. They train students for either further studies or off-campus placements in other job sectors or research centers...There is no placements offered from the college right after graduation.
Very much value for money...it is a government college so the courses cost is less...but they teaching quality is pretty high....
The students can engage themselves is different sports and games and cultural activities...they can take part in different competitions ranging from art, carrom, chess, singing, dancing, etc...within the college or in any inter-college competition...
Yes dear, Bidhannagar College is overall a good choice, the faculties may be few but high quality faculties. As a whole the academic environment is good, their political science curriculum is updated.
Hope it helps !!

Hello Rashika!
A college rank is decided on the basis of number of factors taken into consideration while calculating the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for a college which further decides it's rank in overall.
Bidhannagar college in Kolkata has got accreditation of NAAC B++ with a CGPA of 2.60. The rank as such is not provided but the colleges of NAAC A++ accreditation has CGPA of around 3.60.
So, on the basis of this scale you can decide the position of this college in terms of rank.
