BLDEA's AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Vijayapura, a state of Karnataka, India. There are various undergraduate and post-graduate courses running in the respective Ayurveda streams. Being recognized by Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), a lot of preference is given on the basis of NEET for an undergraduate and a postgraduate student. The college has a strict selection procedure in place so that only the most eligible students are admitted to the college. The admission cycle is usually conducted according to the schedule of NEET, which is held annually. Application Process

The application process for BLDEA's AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Vijayapura, is based on the NEET exam for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The application procedure is as follows in detail:

1. NEET Registration: The first step involves the registration for and appearing in the NEET conducted by the National Testing Agency for UG (BAMS) and PG (MD) courses.

2. NEET Result: All such students are eligible for admission who pass the cut-off scores in the NEET exam results declared by the state or the University.

3. State Counselling: As this is a college in Karnataka, one has to be present during the counseling procedure of the state. That is, it involves getting registered at the KEA website with the aim of seeking AYUSH courses.

4. Document Verification: The candidates who are shortlisted have to present their documents for verification. That would include:

  • NEET score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • BAMS degree certificate and mark sheets (for PG applicants)
  • Category certificates (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (for state quota seats)
  • Aadhar card
  • Recent passport-size photographs

5. The seat Allotment procedure allows the students for the scores, choices already filled, and other seats in all the counselling rounds.

6. After seat allotment, student are required to make fee payments within the deadline furnished to students and consolidate the admissions.

7. Reporting to College: After fee payment, the candidates must visit BLDEA's AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya along with an original of all the documents to complete the verification process and get admission formalities done.

College has admitted an enormous number of out-of-state students. Outside Karnataka, undergraduate students constitute 20% of the students while postgraduate students are 29%. It simply means that non-Karnataka students also get a fair opportunity to get into the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: BAMS is a 5-year undergraduate degree course with an intake of 60 students. The admission will be through NEET scores. Candidate must have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

MD Ayurveda Samhita and Siddhant: MD Ayurveda Samhita and Siddhant is a 3-year postgraduate degree course with an intake of 3 seats. The admission will be through NEET-PG scores. Candidates should have a degree in BAMS from a recognized institute.

MD Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana: This 3-year postgraduate program offers 5 seats. Admission is through NEET-PG. A BAMS degree is prerequisite for application.

MD Dravyaguna: Another 3-year postgraduate program with 5 seats. NEET-PG scores are considered for admission. Candidates should hold a BAMS degree.

MD Kayachikitsa: This 3-year postgraduate specialization has 5 seats. Admission is based on NEET-PG performance. A BAMS degree is required for eligibility.

MD Shalya Tantra: This is a 3-year postgraduate course with 4 seats. Admission is through NEET-PG scores. The candidate must have completed BAMS.
