BEC Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Tirupur's Builders Engineering College (BEC), is an autonomous technical institution under NAAC and has been granted approval from AICTE with Anna University affiliation. The college caters to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and management. Admission into BEC occurs primarily through various state-level entrances that are committed to opening the gates of this institution to competent candidates and guaranteeing a fair and competing selection procedure. Normally, BEC carries on its admission cycles in line with its parent University, Anna University, and the Tamil Nadu state admission processes. Under graduate engineering, namely TNEA counselling, admissions are done from June to August. Admission procedures for the postgraduate programs of MBA and ME are commonly carried out between the months of April and July, based on the TANCET or consortium entrance tests.

Candidates must complete their 10+2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects, to be eligible for admission to the B.E/B.TECH programs. Candidates also need to satisfy the conditions listed under TNEA for qualification for admission. For the postgraduate programs, it is necessary that applicants either possess a valid TANCET score or take the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu entrance exam along with their bachelor's degree in the relevant area. The eligibility conditions that the college stipulates for B.Tech admissions are TNEA for undergraduate courses in engineering and TANCET for postgraduate courses. Therefore, these exams usually cover subjects relevant to the chosen field of study.

Application Process

The application process of Builders Engineering College varies with the programs. For B.Tech/BE programs: 

1. Must have qualified 10+2 examination with desired subjects and percentage marks. 
2. Register and appear for the TNEA entrance exam. 
3. Attend TNEA counselling if found qualified. 
4. Choose Builders Engineering College and preferred courses at the time of counselling. 
5. If allotted a seat, report to BEC for document verification and admission formalities. 

For MBA and ME courses: 

1. Have completed a bachelor's degree in an area related to the discipline. 
2. Register and appear for TANCET or Consortium entrance exam. 
3. Apply to Builders Engineering College following the prescribed application process.
4. Attend additional selection processes if shortlisted (for MBA). 
5. If selected, complete admission processes at BEC, including document verification and fee payment.

Admission Process according to Degrees

B.Tech/BE: Builders Engineering College offers a total of seven courses in undergraduate engineering, with a capacity of 60 students for every program. A few programmes under this are: Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Electronics and Communication Engineering; Artificial Intelligence and Data Science; and Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning). Admission to these courses is based on the TNEA performance of candidates. The eligibility criterion requires one to pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

MBA: The college offers an MBA program with 60 seats. Admission is based on the performance of the candidate in TANCET or the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Consortium of Self Financing Professional Colleges. Shortlisted candidates may be called for further selection processes as per the institute guidelines.

ME: BEC offers three ME programs: Construction Engineering and Management, Computer Science and Engineering, and Structural Engineering. Each of these programs has an intake of 18 students. Admissions are based on TANCET scores and/or through the entrance exam conducted by the Consortium. Candidates should have graduated in a relevant field of engineering or technology.
