City College, Kolkata Admission Process

City College Kolkata admissions are offered to students at the UG level. The college has 18 undergraduate courses. City College Kolkata admissions are offered to UG courses that include B.Sc.(Hons.), B.Sc, B.A., B.A.(Hons.), B.Com, B.Com (Hons.). For City College Kolkata admission the UG admission form are available on the official website of the college. After filling the City College Kolkata application form, candidates have to pay the application form fee. City College Kolkata admissions are done based on the merit of the qualifying exam. City College Kolkata admissions to the undergraduate programmes are done on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the 10+2 examination. City College Kolkata UG courses are offered in different streams such as Science, Arts, Commerce. City College Kolkata UG courses are offered as honours and general courses.

B.Com	150	Candidates have passed (10+2) and obtain aggregate pass marks in related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. For SC/ST- Pass marks in aggregate.
B.Sc Bio Science	150	Candidates should pass 10+2 and must secure pass marks in aggregate and pass marks in Biology at the previous qualifying examination.
B.Sc Physical Science	150	Candidates should pass 10+2 and must secure pass marks in aggregate and pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.
B.A.	100	Candidates should pass 10+2 and must obtain pass marks in aggregate and pass marks in subjects which he/she intends to study.
B.Sc Mathematics Hons	60	Candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or For Mathematics (Honours)- Candidates must pass in Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.
BA Bengali Hons	60	The candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

B.Sc Economics Hons	50	Candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or For Economics (Honours)- Candidates must pass in Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.
B.Sc Zoology Hons	50	Candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or For Zoology (Honours)- Candidates must pass in Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry at the previous qualifying examination.
BA Philosophy Hons	50	The candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

B.Sc Botany Hons	30	Candidates must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the concerned subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or For Botany (Honours)- Candidates must pass in Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry at the previous qualifying examination.

City College Kolkata Admission Procedure- UG Courses

The candidate must meet the required eligibility criteria for UG admissions.
Candidates should fill up the City College Kolkata application form from the official website of the college.
Candidates may apply for more than one subject with a separate application form and application fee.
Candidates have to pay the application fee.
The final selection is based on the marks secured by the candidate in the 10+2 exam.
Merit list is released and the candidate whose name will be there in merit list need to appear for the counselling process.
Final admission is offered after document verification and fee payment.

Academics

The environment over here for studies is not good. The professors are irregular and have a tendency to not complete the syllabus . They do not provide proper notes of the subject and also do not have have proper knowledge abot the subject.

My experience was very good.

Professor's try to gave us proper guidance. I completed my graduation in b.sc in bio science. For COVID time college provided many online class but we had to go for our practical classes. But teachers help us alot in this time. They gave us all the things which is important for the exam.

The college is well known for its bcom course . The college has annual fests and many events going around the college and the most exciting part is that every department held annual excursions with the students which makes the department bonding very good and is very fun.

Dear Student,

There are so many courses in this college. So, the seats are also different here. The fees are also different here. It is affiliated to Culcutta University. It's accreditation is NAAC B+. The total number of faculties are 54, they are well educated and student friendly. The campus is also big in size.
