The infrastructure is amazing. The labs are air conditioned and the classes are pretty cool. Proper projector and raptor boards are in the classes as well. Classes have cameras and good benches. That's all :)
As far as i know the syllabus is pretty updated. And the course I enrolled in was mca and whatever I learnt in Anna University was pretty helpful as now I'm in corporate world and the things which people learn now are things which I'm familiar with, already.
Placements depends on the season actually. If we work hard then even if the placements are low, we can simply achieve some descent company by our hardwork. Talking about college placements, the placement cell calls both service and product based companies. And the students from different branches can apply as per the company's criteria.
It's a govt college this whatever I recieved was way more than what I paid as the few. In private colleges it's much worse.
Had a pretty chill and fun campus life and got to explore Chennai.
Good place with excellent infrastructure facilities(free 24/7 Wi-Fi to Labs) to learn and grow. Good atmosphere. Good management. Very clean and neat campus. The only cons are the hostel food was not been very tasty on some days (some days only).
Staffs are very good at teaching. College always welcomes you to participate in various kinds of hackathon, symposium and other competitions. Along with Studies Peoples here will motivate you to set your goals and follow your passion.
There are lot of good companies like Accenture, Amazon,Zoho,Virtusa, CTS, TCS, Freshworks, Astra Zenca, Wipro, Capgemini, LTI, L&T Tech services , Ford , Bosch etc.,visiting this campus every year. Almost all students who joined the placement gets the internship or job.
Due to covid, I have not enjoyed most of the infrastructure. But overall everything is good and well maintained. Library was awesome. Hostel and Mess are the best part in my college. We cleaned and maintained rooms.
I opted high voltage engineering in higher studies. We studied completely online due to the covid situation but the faculties try hard to provide us better knowledge. We have been scheduled to attend lab in college for around one week with high safety precautions. Best level faculties are here.
According to placements, our college provides best campus on drives. Highest package of around 15LpA and average package of 4LpA is provided in our college placements. My college provide more than 80% placements to the students overall.
Almost all facilities are available within the campus itself and you actually don't need to go beyond the campus for any needs. No I haven't opted for hostel. But from my friends' opinions I can say hostel food isn't that tasty.
Curriculum and exam structure is quite old. But leaving the out the academics part, there is a lot more that can be learnt. Also there is continuous exposure through guest lectures and various other sessions.
Placements and internships are really good for CSE and IT depts. Seniors help conduct classes to help students get through internships and placement process. Institution conducts lectures to prepare us for the same.
College provides sufficient facilities. Classrooms are spacious enough. I'm not a hosteller so not aware much about hostel life. Bit there are many friends who stay in hostel. There are many blocks of hostels for all types of courses.
Course curriculum is best in the field. Updated based on the latest development in the field. Some of the electives are fuzzy logic, visual programming, power system analysis. Staffs are very good people.
Almost 80% placement in mainstream engineering courses. Average package during my period is around 2 lakhs. Companies from IT companies comes during the starting of fourth year. In many cases companies comes the after sixth semester.
Infrastructure is good and one of the oldest. Near our college a famous Anna Centenary library and inside our college we have our own library. Non-veg and veg food available. Hostel rooms have Free wifi, 24 hours maintenance and CCTV monitoring the blocks outside.
I chose this course because this course is only available in the college of engineering Guindy rather than others having only diploma courses. And also a lot of job opportunities in industries for the students from Printing backgrounds.
Sun Branding Solutions, ITC, TNPL, HINDU are the companies that provide internships with stipend. From the 7th semester itself, students are eligible for placement. Average package form 3LPA to 4.5LPA for Printing students.
The campus is huge, you can literally spend hours just walking around the campus and still not have seen everything. Everyone falls in love with the red building, the trees and the shady paths all around campus. Has all necessary facilities.
There are some truly awesome professors in CEG, and a lot of very terrible professors. I was blessed with excellent professors I'm grateful for that. Syllabus was covering almost all topics. Yes it does make job ready.
The placement of our college is so good, as the last and final year students are eligible for the college placement. The top-reputed companies visited our college, and the students got jobs according to their knowledge.
Our college is one of the oldest colleges in Asia dating back to 1700's. Campus is built ina traditional way. Looking like an monument. Has huge trees and plants around the campus making the coolest campus.
I studied M.E solar energy, because I found scope in it. Teaching quality is undoubtedly good. And they provide all kinds of exams, assignments. Curriculum is good I would say. When we put some extra efforts it will be good.
Our college provides the best placement opportunities for all students. Many companies visit our college every year for placements. In the previous year, around 70% of students got placed in our department with an average salary package of 6 LPA.
CEG is one of the Oldest institutions in India and also in the World. It is always known for its ever standing infrastructure. It is highly equipped with all the necessary and advanced tech required to get max. exposure from the college by the time we graduate. No wonder why it's in the top tier NIRF ranking list.
I don't know about the quality of teaching in offline mode of learning. Online mode has many limitations, even teachers find it harder to explain the concept to students in online mode. Some subjects which requires black board teaching like Math are even harder. Overall it is average on the online mode. Once you get to college you must get familiarised with self study. I'll say it again I have no clue about offline classes.
Since our college is at the top in NIRF ranking, many top tier compnies like Amazon, Walmart..etc recruit several students through campus interview... majority of the students get placement through campus interview itself while a few doesn't but they manage to get recruited in companies as they have studied in a dignified institution.
It's a government college it's a definite 5 Stars. Almost all Government colleges ask for low fees amounts but not curtailing from the quality of education. In simple words Low money high exposure
College life is wonderful, that too in a vast campus like this...it would give us wide range of opportunities and freedom to choose what we want to pursue. But I'd say this online college life sucks!
It's almost been a year of college but I've been to college for like 25 to 30 days or less. That 30 days was bliss! I regret that we have wasted 1 fruitful year through online classes. I hope this pandemic goes off and we continue to enjoy our college life!
Being one of the best universities in India, the infrastructure is second to none. All the facilities are top-notch and up-to-date. It is one of the most iconic colleges in India. We have very sophisticated labs.
We had a few very skilled and knowledgeable and took great interest in the upliftment of students. The curriculum was very updated and we had regular assessments and projects to better understand the subject.
We had the best organizations globally come to our college for placements. I got placed in Accenture due to the well well-organized drive. The highest recruiter offered a contract of 50 per annum from myntra.

it is for Undergraduate courses like BE/B.Tech, then you have to appear for TNEA Counselling conducted by Anna University. Anna University has no entrance examination and the admission is through TNEA which is the counselling process. The admission to BE/B.Tech courses is conducted on the basis of merit scored in 12th. As many as 563 Institutions participate in TNEA Counselling. Though TNEA is primarily for Candidates who fulfil the Nativity criteria, few seats are also allotted for Candidates out of Tamilnadu. This number is approximately 50. The University has not released TNEA application forms yet.
