DAV College of Engineering and Technology (DAVCET), Kanina, is a well-established college with high-quality engineering courses in Haryana. The institution has a very simple admission procedure in place with adherence to guidelines by the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana. DAVCET boasts of having an excellent diversity in B.Tech courses as well as following rigorous academic courses leading to strong knowledge in both the theoretical and practical aspects of engineering.
The process of admission at DAVCET generally starts after the announcement of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main results. For the 2025-26 academic year, the JEE Main city intimation slip will be announced on January 3, 2025. The students should monitor the dates and results of the JEE Main since these are significant in facilitating the process of admission.
DAVCET adopts a centralized admission procedure for 75% of seats, 15% under the All India Category. Such admissions are carried out through online counseling by Haryana State Counseling Society. The counseling is on the basis of the candidate's JEE Main rank and his/her 12th standard marks.
Application Process
Application procedure for DAV College of Engineering and Technology, Kanina, is as follows:
1. Show up for JEE Main: The candidates first need to show up for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. JEE Main Result: Then wait for NTA to declare the JEE Main results.
3. Haryana State Counseling Registration: After the results have been announced, candidates who are eligible must register themselves for Haryana State Counseling. This is usually done via an online portal maintained by the Haryana State Counseling Society.
4. Document Verification: Candidates will have to provide and verify their documents during the counseling. Documents usually required are:
5. Choice Filling: Candidates will be required to fill in their college and course preferences during the counseling process.
6. Allotment of Seats: As per the rank in JEE Main, marks in 12th standard, and filled options, seats shall be allotted to the candidates
7. Fee Payment: Once a seat is allotted in DAVCET, candidates should pay the due fees to complete their admission process.
8. Reporting at College: Once the seat allotment and fee payment are done, candidates should report to DAVCET for final admission procedure.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: DAVCET provides five B.Tech courses, each of four years duration. The admission process for all the B.Tech courses is the same and done on the basis of the JEE Main marks and marks in 12th standard. The B.Tech courses provided are:
1. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
2. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
3. B.Tech Information Technology
4. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
5. B.Tech Civil Engineering
For all these schemes, admissions are strictly done as per the guidelines released by the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana. Haryana State Counseling Society does ONLINE counseling for 75% seats (including 15% All India Category Seats) on JEE Main ranks and 12th standard marks.
