The instructors support the acquisition of new skills and are highly educated and competent. It is not difficult to receive passing grades in our institution, and the course curriculum is current, preparing us for the workforce. We are very glad to have our teachers.
Our college has good faculty members. They are well-versed with the course curriculum. They provide students with proper knowledge and good career goals. They also solve students' problems after class. The faculty members here are highly qualified in our college. They treat us like their own child and never get angry with us, making us understand the subjects well.
It is a very good college. Our course consists of 15 students. Since it is a government college, the salary packages are not good. Around 80% of students get internships in our course. Overall facilities is good.
Good college.
College is overall okay. but the washrooms are in pitiable conditions. this is actually harmful for the students as they are exposed to the risk of various infections. The management should take steps to look into this.
Calcutta University syllabus is way backdated. they need to focus on improving the syllabus and the way of teaching. Students who are interested in pursuing higher degree should never get admission in this college.
Please do not keep any expectations of placements from this college. College will take no initiative to get their students placed. students interested in placements must try to get into other private colleges.
Government-sponsored so relatively cheaper. but the quality of education is below par. so even when i had to pay less, i felt like it is not worth it. freelancing is a better option than pursuing a degree in this college.
poor campus life. students are forced to take part in political agendas. no extracurricular activities that actually play an important role in the personality development of a student. Stressful life for students.
The college had moderate infrastructure facilities and equipment. The classrooms were pretty good. The laboratories were well equipped. There was no Wifi. There was no hostel service. The college was well maintained. The living spaces were clean.
I studied English Honours there. The teachers were well qualified and their teaching style was impressive. The curriculum was well updated but the course does not make you job ready. It grows your knowledge in that specific domain.
As I was doing a course which does not give any placement. You can't get placement through those degrees from the college and the college doesn't have the placement facilities. The courses were not skilled based it was academic based course.
I had paid around 3 to 4 thousand per semester. It was a 6 semester course. The facilities I was provided with was pretty good and I think it is well valued for money. The libraries and the facility they provided were good.
I enjoyed my campus life well. The campus was good with healthy environment. There are various cultural activities we could participate. The students and the teachers were well supportive. The location is well connected to transportation and can handle emergencies.
I had a pretty good 3 years in college.
No,Our college have some necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment...some of them are not available in our college... We have WiFi and that is well maintained... The living spaces are clean... Foods are hygenic also...
I'm studying Chemistry hons... Our teachers are so good... They teach us very well... Yes,our curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field... I studied under the guidance of our teachers and that makes me job-ready
Our college has some good placements... I guess 70 to 80 percent of students get placement after completing their graduation... Yes the placement process is easy and pleasant for me... Yes my college is supportive
My course costs 5000 to 6000 per year... Yes it's worthy
My college campus is best for me... Seniors are so good... And we are engaged in many activities... Other students, teachers and support staff are so good... Yes location is safe and it can handle emergencies
College is relatively accessible connected by metros and busses. Adequate classrooms and sitting arrangements for the students. Water cooler is also available with fresh and clean water. Overall its good.
Classes are not regular at all. Teachers are not at all motivated to teach and they are also very irregular. Punctuality among the teachers is also very poor. They dont encourage to innovate. This is a problem that needs to be fixed.
Absolutely no placements at all. Same with projects and internships. This is not a good place for students who actually want to learn. If you want to do projects or internships from your own sources even then the teachers wont support.
Relatively lower fees than other private colleges. Students can obtain scholarships and waiver on the basis of academic performance and family background. One from a middle class background can easily support education in this institute.
No extra curricular activities, sports or other events. Saraswati puja and fest is organised. Apart from that nothing productive. Extracurricular activities are also not encouraged. Sometimes fights break out between union members and students.
Not a good place for proper career development.
A lot of things to improve, specially in the laboratories. Wooden table in chemistry laboratory is a real issue because sometimes it reacts somehow. Canteen was clean and moreover it's pocket friendly. The library facility was also available and you can find almost every book there.
Don't know about other stream or departments but the chemistry unit is too good. The teachers, the support staffs -- all are friendly in and out of the college. You can reach them anytime you want and they definitely help you with their best.
Have to understand one thing that it's not a management college. So what you have to do after pursuing your graduation depends upon you. But they will give you that much knowledge so you can achieve a benchmark anywhere. What I think is, this "placement" point is not working for these UG or PG colleges.
It's cost around 4000 per year. classrooms, laboratories, teaching and non teaching staff, hygiene and food -- regarding all of these, my money's worth.
If I will go with the teachers, support staffs and other things, I will give it a 4 star rating but student politics is a backlog there though it is safe for anyone. Campus connection with public transports are also good so anyone can reach the campus very easily. There was a lot of events organised by students at our times. So yeah, it's a quite happy place for us. Hope, some more fun and engaging events were there so we could connect more with our campus.
If you are looking for a UG college around you so that you can save your time and focus on study more, you can choose Dinabandhu Andrews College. The chemistry unit was so good at our time, but I will never recommend you this one as the uppermost priority. There was a lot of options with better facilities, feel free to connect me via email.
My college has infrastructure that is decent but is not enough. The windows of the classroom are broken, bathroom taps are poor. There is no canteen. Students do not seem to be much encouraged to come to college because of this poor infrastructure.
On the contrary to infrastructure, the academics are really good. My department is one of the best in this city; not only mine, many other departments are also very good in this college in terms of academics. Classes are regular. Professors are very very helpful. I really enjoy the and learn a lot from my Professors.
In my subject, there is no placement involved as such. So it is not there in my college too. And I have not seen or heard any other department getting any placement from this college although I might be wrong.
Keeping the poor infrastructure but good academics in mind, I think studying in this college is worth it. Because at the end of the day it is the academics which make our career not the infrastructure. Also courses in this college are not at all eexpensive, so it is definitely a value for money considering the good quality learning.
I don't think that the campus is safe for ordinary students there, let alone being good. Most of the time the students of union are occupying in vague activities in the college campus. There was a recently a scandal in our campus that was done by those union members. Many were injured. The college is currently under police protection.
Overall I feel that if someone is aiming to have an amazing college life that is seen in movies, then this college is not for him/her. If the only thing you care about is learning and doing regular classes in an affordable package, then this college might be the best option.
No the college didn't have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classroom was not so good as the fans and light didn't work properly. The benches were not of good quality. The library didn't have the sufficient books. The laboratories were moderate. There were not much sports equipment. The ground was not also well maintained. There was no wifi. There was no hostel for us to stay. The canteen was also closed.
English was my favourite subject so I wanted to do honours in English. Most of the teachers were good. They taught us in different manners. Some were very helpful. But there was some irregularities between them. The curriculum was updated and included the recent developments. The course I studied didn't make me job ready as it was a pure academic course.
There was no placement opportunities for honors student there. The courses provided there were only for academic purpose. I couldn't get a placement by studying English honors there. It had only added to my knowledge of learning English literature.
It cost us approximately Rs.2500 per semester including semester fees and college fees. There are many colleges under Calcutta University that offers better accomodation for the honors courses under the same amount of money. So I will not say that it was worth of my money.
My campus life was moderate. As my campus life was only of 2years as for Covid so it was for a short period of time. I made some friends and the environment was good. There were some activities like of debate and cultural fest and annual sports. Most of the teachers were good and supportive. The campus was located in a very good place and transportation was very much available there. There was hospital nearby so it can handle emergencies to a certain extent.
It was a moderate college. But the political system was very bad and the union caused trouble.
