DCET, Dehradun, has an uncomplicated and friendly admission process to support promising students of engineering. The admissions at DCET are kept as student-centric as possible to allow the potential engineer to have different specialization areas pursued by him/her.
The college usually starts its admission procedure for the academic year that commences in August-September. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: Doon College of Engineering and Technology has nine B.Tech programs with a certain intake capacity. The admission process for all the B.Tech courses is the same, differing only in the number of seats available. A description of the programs and seat allocations is given below:
1. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering: 90 seats
2. B.Tech Information Technology: 60 seats
3. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering: 60 seats
4. B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 60
5. B.Tech Agricultural Engineering: 60
6. B.Tech Civil Engineering: 60
7. B.Tech Environmental Engineering: 60
8. B.Tech Petroleum Engineering: 60
9. B.Tech Mechanical Production Engineering: 60
All these programs require the candidate to have passed their 10+2 with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The selection usually depends on the performance of the candidate in respective entrance tests and their academic history.
