Admission procedures at Dr. Navalar Nedunchezhiyan College of Engineering are in association with the flow of the academic year that commences generally in the months of August-September. Although the dates may change ad accidens, it behoves candidates to fatten their applications for DRNNCE far ahead of time. Some programs, especially postgraduate ones, consider the marks of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). Candidates seeking admission in UG courses need to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Only those candidates who have obtained a bachelor's degree in the concerned area of study from a recognized university shall be eligible for postgraduate courses. 

Some of the exact eligibility criteria may, however, vary with different programs, hence candidates are advised to always refer to the concerned program-specific brochure regarding eligibility criteria. An extensive variety of degrees in engineering caters to the demands of the competent individual: BE in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Biomedical Engineering. The college further offers an ME in Manufacturing Engineering as a postgraduate program.

Application Process

The application process for Dr. Navalar Nedunchezhiyan College of Engineering, Tholudur, is thus made easy and hassles free for all eligible candidates. This is an elaborate procedure of application stepwise:

1. Check out the official site of DRNNCE for the latest admission updates.

2. Download the application form for the program into which enrollment is sought, duly filling in all details correctly.

3. Make ready the following documents as specified in the application instructions: Generally, mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard, Transfer Certificate, Community Certificate (if applicable), TANCET score card (for ME applicants), Passport size photographs, and such other certificates as the college asks.

4. Submit the duly filled application form along with the required documents to the admission office of the college, preferably hand delivery or through registered post.

5. Pay the application fee as stated in the college notification. The fee amount and method of payment would have been indicated in the application form or on the college website.

9. As for the BE programs, their selection is based mainly on a merit list which is prepared keeping in mind the marks obtained by the candidate in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.

10. As for the ME program, TANCET score possibilities will be considered together with Pro-rata scoring from Bachelor's level academic performance.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.E. Programs: DRNNCE offers various Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programs having 30-60 seats in each. Most of the BE programs are solely into merit for admissions. The candidates should have completed their 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The college offers BE in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats each), Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Biomedical Engineering (30 seats each).

M.E. Program: For the Master of Engineering (ME) program in Manufacturing Engineering, DRNNCE has an intake of 24 seats. Admission to this program may consider TANCET scores. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree in engineering are eligible to apply. All admission processes for the ME program are based on merit; similar to that of the undergraduate programs.
