ESI Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bangalore (ESIPGIMSR) is a leading medical college, offering good quality medical education in the form of various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The institute follows a stringent admission process with the goal to filter out the best and deserving students from across India.
ESIPGIMSR admits students mainly based on national-level entrance examinations. Admissions to undergraduate courses such as MBBS depend upon the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). Admissions to postgraduate courses in MD and MS are through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET-PG).
For MBBS, applicants must have studied 10+2 with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects. The selection is based on the marks of the applicant in NEET-UG. For postgraduate courses, applicants must have obtained their MBBS degree from a recognized university and clear the NEET-PG examination.
Application Process
The application process for ESIPGIMSR varies from program to program:
For MBBS:
1. Clear the NEET-UG exam.
2. Apply for the centralized counseling process as per the state or all-India quota.
3. Choose ESIPGIMSR as one of the preferred colleges at the time of counseling.
4. In case of allotment, report at the institute for document verification and admission formalities.
For MD/MS Programs:
1. Clear the NEET-PG exam.
2. Register for the centralized counseling process for postgraduate medical admissions.
3. Select ESIPGIMSR and preferred specialization during counseling.
4. If a seat is allocated, get the admission completed at the institute.
Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: ESIPGIMSR offers 125 seats for its MBBS program. Admission is done on the basis of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and be NEET-UG exam qualified to be considered for admission.
MS General Surgery: ESIPGIMSR offers 12 seats for MS General Surgery. Admission is based on the candidate's performance in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET-PG). Candidates must have a completed MBBS degree.
MD Anaesthesia: ESIPGIMSR offers 10 seats in MD Anaesthesia. Admission is based on NEET-PG, and candidates with an MBBS degree can apply.
MS Gynaecology and Obstetrics: The institute has 9 seats for the MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology course. NEET-PG admissions are conducted, and MBBS graduates can take up this specialization.
MD Paediatrics: The institute offers 6 seats for the course of MD Paediatrics. The admissions are based on NEET-PG marks, and the candidates must have already passed their MBBS.
MD General Medicine: ESIPGIMSR has 6 seats for MD General Medicine. Admissions are based on NEET-PG marks, and candidates should have an MBBS degree.
Other Postgraduate Courses: Apart from this, the institute also offers courses such as MD Biochemistry, MD Microbiology, MD Pathology, MD Community Medicine, MD Radio Diagnosis, and MS Otorhinolaryngology and MS Orthopedics with 2-4 seats per course, and admissions via NEET-PG.

MBBS Course is so much tough and the syllabus is good in terms of knowledge and research . Tough there is no compulsion in curriculum for research but sheds enough light on the subject for the intrested student .

to avail the ESI quota/ IP ward quota it ismandatory that your parent should be an esi employee to get into esi pgimsr Bangalore.
But not all seats are reserved under the ESI quota. some seats come under the ALL INDIA QUOTA through which anyone can take admission while there also is state quota in which students of that particular statecan avail the seats.

With 483 marks in neet, you have chance to get ESI Medical College, Bangalore through state quota. And if you belong to SC catagory you have a good chance. This information is based on previous years cutoff and the cutoff marks change every year. It's depends upon number of students that appeared in examination, number of seats available in colleges, difficulties of question paper, reservation catagory, previous years cutoff trends, etc.

Sorry to tell you that 320 marks are not good enough to get you into a govt. medical colleges but if you wish to opt a private medical college offering MBBS in India , there is quite a possibility and you have to appear to all the counsellings till MOP-UP rounds till you get a college of your choice.
