Government Polytechnic, Gopeshwar Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Government Polytechnic, Gopeshwar is one of the erstwhile esteemed institutions affiliated to the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and currently offers diploma programs in many branches of engineering. Located in the beautiful pristine Himalayas of Uttarakhand, the polytechnic promises quality technical education. The admissions process for Government Polytechnic, Gopeshwar is primarily through the Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics (Uttarakhand JEEP). 

The state-level entrance test assesses candidates in relevant subjects for admittance into the institutions offering diploma programs.  For the session to come, application for Uttarakhand JEEP will commence from 6 January 2025 to go on until 30 April 2025. Application Process

Steps for the admission process in Government Polytechnic, Gopeshwar:

1. Register for Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics (Uttarakhand JEEP).

2. Fill in the application form online that will be made available between January 6, 2025 and April 30, 2025 for Uttarakhand JEEP.

3. The payment of an input fee should be available through the mode of payment prescribed.

4. Appear on the scheduled date for the Uttarakhand JEEP examination to be held this year. It will be in an online mode.

5. After the announcement of examination results, aspiring candidates qualifying through the examination would be available for the counseling process.

6. Enter the counseling procedure with the seat allocation based on merit rank in Uttarakhand JEEP and preferences put forth by the candidate .

7. The if a seat is allotted at Government Polytechnic, Gopeshwar, report to the institute for verification of documents and completion of other formalities.

Degree wise Admission Process

Diploma in Information Technology: As approved, this course intake shall have 30 seats, the admissions being made on the performance of the student in Uttarakhand JEEP. The curriculum is aimed towards building a foundation for the student in IT skills and knowledge.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The above program is the same as IT, admitted for students of 30 approved in the intake. Admission is through Uttarakhand JEEP. This program is meant to prepare learners for the practice and theory of mechanical engineering.

Diploma in Communication and Computer Networking: Specific ceilings concerning the intake of this course have not been indicated but is one offered at the institute. The admission procedure follows similar lines to that of other diploma programs and is dependent on Uttarakhand JEEP performance.

Documents needed for admission usually include:

• Uttarakhand JEEP admit card and score card;
• Hero 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates;
• Domicile certificate (if applicable);
• Category certificate (if applicable);
• Recent passport-sized photographs;
