Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society's Technical Campus, Seraikela (GGSESTC) is a self-financing and self-governing institution. Situated in Kandra, Chas, Bokaro, Jharkhand, GGSESTC provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and management. The admission process at GGSESTC is centered on the selection of meritorious and deserving students on the basis of different national-level entrance examinations.

The academic year at GGSESTC generally commences in the month of August-September, while the admissions are carried out a few months prior to it. Admissions to B.Tech courses are made mostly based on merit obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Examination (JEECE). MBA admissions are carried out based on test scores such as CMAT, XAT, MAT, and ATMA.

For B.Tech courses, the candidates should have passed 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects. Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying test is usually insisted upon. MBA candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from an approved institution.

Application Process

Application process for GGSESTC is different for different programs:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify JEE Main or JEECE exam.
2. Browse the official website of GGSESTC and complete the online application form.
3. Pay the application fee.
4. Uploading documents required, i.e., 10+2 mark sheet, JEE Main/JEECE score card, etc.
5. Completing and submitting the duly filled-in application form.

For MBA course:

1. Appearing for CMAT, MAT, XAT, or ATMA exam.
2. Downloading the application form of MBA and filling the same online from the web portal of GGSESTC.
3. Payment of application fee.
4. Post the documents as and when required, i.e., graduation mark sheets, entrance exam score card, and work experience certificate (if applicable).
5. Complete the application form.
6. The short-listed candidates would be required to attend subsequent selection rounds, i.e., group discussion or personal interview.

For Diploma, BBA, and BCA programs:

1. Log on to the website of GGSESTC and fill up the application form for the respective program.
2. Deposit the application fee.
3. Post mandatory documents such as 10+2 mark sheet and other allied certificates.
4. Fill the completed application form.
5. Wait for the merit list or admission notification.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: GGSESTC conducts eight B.Tech courses with an aggregate intake capacity of 360 seats. Admissions are made on the basis of JEE Main or JEECE scores. The available programs are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Science, and Fashion Technology. The each of the courses have a sanctioned strength of 60 seats, except Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Cyber Security, and Fashion Technology, which have 30 seats each.

MBA: The strength of the MBA course in GGSESTC is 60 seats. Admission is on the basis of scores in CMAT, MAT, XAT, or ATMA. The selection process may also take into account aggregate marks secured in graduation.

Diploma Courses: Diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are offered by GGSESTC. Each course has an approved intake of 60 seats.

BBA and BCA: The institute also provides courses in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) with an intake of 60 seats.
