It has all the necessary infrastructure, classrooms, Sports, lab, library etc. There are separate building for different department. Classroom are good. There is cleaning issue, washroom are not well maintained.
All teachers are are very helpful , well experienced and they are always ready to clear the doubts . Teachers put a lot of effort in teaching . By online classes as teachers giving there best . There are private teachers.
The placement are good for B.E. branch . The placement depend upon capacity of the student . Every year placement opportunities are provided to students . Average salary package is 3.5 lakhs . The placement procedure is easy.
It's fees as Compare to other colleges is very low.
Campus life is good. That was the best experience.
Good experience.
I am studying in MCA and computers are too old to use. Classes are good and big. Area of college is good and there are separate blocks for each and every department. We can say that other than MCA department whole infrastructure is good.
There are private teachers. The syllabus is not updated for a long time. The syllabus is behind the need of the time. Teachers are good and supported. They are ready to help any time when there is need of them.
Placements of B. Tech branches are good. But for MCA it is quite low. Average salary package is 3.5 lakhs. Procedure on campus is easy and simple. We get proper placement, training for the preparation of the campus.
Fee of JEC is very low as compared to other colleges. It costs 24000 per year for MCA course for general category students. Other category students get scholarships. Hostel fee is also very low it is approx 3000 per year for room charges.
Campus life is very good in JEC. You get a lunch break of 1 hour. JEC has so many societies and clubs. It organizes cultural and sports, fast from time to time. It also organizes many seminars and workshops for the betterment of students.
My experience in this college is good.
Overall infrastructure of Jabalpur engineering college is good. Every department has its own separate building and hostels. Library is very good you can find books on each topics and books are also sufficient in amount. In my experience it needs to improve in cleanliness especially washrooms. Canteen is also average to good. Classrooms, labs, sports centers are good.
I am pursuing MCA from Jabalpur engineering college. And in my experience academic field is good, syllabus is updated, we get proper guidance for projects as well as academic studies. We had 2 projects and 1 internship in MCA course which make us fir for the job role.
In jabalpur engineering college placements of B.Tech courses is quite good. But for MCA placement count is relatively small. Otherwise, the campus procedure is easy and simple. The average package for students is 3.5 lakhs.
In Jabalpur engineering college fee for MCA is 24000 rs. per year for general category students. And other category students can get scholarships. And tuition fee wavier students does't need to pay any fees. They just pay the examination fees. I feel completely worthy for my money.
I can say that campus life in JEC is good. We had so many clubs in college like JLUG, Sports club etc. We also had NCC and NSS. After this JEC also organizes cultural fests like Aureole, Avahan etc. Students are supportive to each other especially juniors. Seniors are always ready to help juniors in every possible way. Teachers and other staff is also supportive. JEC is located in Ranjhi, it is 6 km away from Railway station you can get direct metro bus or auto rickshaw to the college.
My experience in this college is very good I learned a lot from this college. And also made good contacts and enjoyed a good college life.
The college have all the necessary facilities like laboratories, libraries, sports equipment and playground hostels etc. The laboratories have all the machines and equipment required for practical purposes.
I'm student of civil engineering and the faculties are highly experienced and qualified. The curriculum is updated regularly whenever required according to the demands of employment and skills. The teachers also helps students whenever required.
The placement percentage is good, most of the students got placed. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc comes every year for the campus placement. Almost all the students from CS/IT branch got placed every year.
The fee of college is very less as compared to other colleges.
The college is good and it has almost all the facilities required. Teachers are very supportive and helpful. The college is situated in outer part of the city.
Each Department have its own separate building and labs. Each departments have its own computer lab and all other labs contain lots of tools which are rare in other colleges. This is the only college with high voltage lab in EE department
I m perusing EE and curriculum is completely according to the future development of students. The curriculum is really good for knowledge development of students as well as for job purpose also. Teaching staff is also good
This college is already known for its placement in Madhya Pradesh and provide high quality(Higher package) placement than any other college. This year at least 60% of students are placed from CS IT departments
As this is an autonomous government college so its fee is very low that is up to 24000 per year. Even this college support various government scholarship schemes which can be avail by students in need.
Best part of college is each department have its own building with labs and other features
There's no department specific library. And only few labs that are working and are not available to us other than in scheduled classes. Department has Wi-Fi but not available for the students. No sport centre is there. Smart board is there but not used effectively.
The courses are not updated. And no where helps us in our jobs. Only few teachers are qualified. Practical knowledge is not given attention. Teachers are not even encouraging. Assignments is the only thing important to them.
A few core companies came, but none hired anyone. None gave the results. And no well established company came this year. Only a few get placed that to in IT companies at very low packages. College is not at all supportive. Packages are low.
No technical, cultural or sports fest are organized. No extra curriculum is encouraged.
Needs a lot of improvement. Doesn't has any encouraging or motivating environment. No personal development, instead deterioration is more!
Infrastructure is not so good. It is old college. And campus has not renewed. Classroom's are not so good. There's is no wifi facility available in campus. Labs are not in good condition. Most of the instruments available in labs are old.
I'm doing my Civil Engineering from this college. Professors are good but they do not take classes properly. And Labs are also not in good condition. Most of the instruments in labs are old. For jobs you have prepared on ur own.
In Civil Branch there's is low chances of placements. There is no core companies related to civil branch come to college. Placements in CS, it , Ec branch is above average. Placements in Civil mechanical and electrical are moderate.
It is cheapest engineering in Mp college. If ur score in jee in not so good then instead of other state engineering college I'll suggest u jabalpur Engineering College. If you have money problem then this college is good for you.
Campus life is good. currently many clubs are active in college. So in 1st year u should have joined the clubs. In 1st year ur teachers introduce to all the clubs then u can join them by contacting ur seniors.
In the perspective of value for money I will give it 4 out of 5. It is the cheapest engineering college. If u have not done well in jee then Jec is good for u. It has good reputation in Mp. what I love in this college is senior- junior connection. support from seniors and faculties is good.
Worst infrastructure no proper maintenance for anything. The building is too old and college hostel infrastructure is too bad to live there. Most of the students live outside the college campus because there are limited seats in hostel.
Focused on only paper work like assignment, theory classes. Do not have proper facility for practical classes. The worst thing about the college is that the hype created in the past about the college.
Only students from CS, IT branches get the sufficient opportunity to got placed . Student from core branches have one or two company to got placed. But they have the same opportunity as cs, it branches students have.
This is the only thing I liked about the college, fees is too low and i don't know I got the money's worth.
Worst.
college has the potential to perform but lack of exposure do not encourage the student.
After government started aiding our college jnder TEQIP program, infrastructure of departments and hostel has been improved lately. Still alot of things are still not upto the mark and could've been better. Wifi facilities are available in college premises but restricted amount of data is given which is negligible. Library is quite big but the syllabus our college follows and contents of books don't usually match so we need to search for topics and study. Canteen is still not permanent.
I'm doing electrical engineering from this college because when i joined i was told it's best college for electrical engineering in Madhya Pradesh after MANIT bhopal and IIT indore. Faculties are good. Most of them have done their M tech from IIT but they were recruited under the program of TEQIP and are here for temporary period of time. Our circular and syllabus has not been updated from long time so we don't work on python till 3rd year as other colleges do.
Most of the Students here go for GATE, CAT, GRE, or other competitive exams as our college is not that strict with attendance. So placements are not that good here. Core students mostly go for GATE, a few companies visit us for core. Infosys,TCS, Wipro are the major recruiting companies on package of 3-5 lpa. Some like walkover and coriolis which aee startups place students on 6-10 lpa. This year highest package which i heard of is 8lpa of our senior from IT. But students do much better ofcampus
Our annual fee is 25k. Yes! You heard me right. People get scholarship too and hostel charges are negligible.
Our campus life is associated with jus people not with college. if we wanna hangout we visit places around or just chill near corridor. We are trying our best to organise fest in our college but due to less funds given by our college we have to go majorly on sponsorships which makes it hard. Still we organise still sports fest with one DJ night, also planned HELIX and AUREOLE our techno-managment-cultural fest. Which didn't happened since 2013 but it got cancelled dur to corona.
If you get ranks where you can't get NITS BITS VIT IIT go for JEC, it's improving day by day.
Infrastructure is not that good. Very old buildings with very less WiFi access. Buildings are not maintained at all. Smart class in some of the rooms and decent labs for mechanical branch. Can't say the same for the rest courses.
Academics is decent. Well experienced faculty willing to work with you for projects also. Decent courses for all subjects. Could be better if use of smart class is increased. Curriculum was updated recently.( 4-5 years back)
Placements are not very good. Only few students with high CGPA and decent internship experience get placed that too with not a very packages. With most people getting between 2-3 lac and an average below that.
Dear
According to the information with a JEE Main rank of 358,727 in the SC category , getting admission to Jabalpur Engineering College (JEC) for the Computer Science branch might be challenging. The cutoff ranks for JEC Jabalpur are generally higher, especially for popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering.
However, since you have a home state quota and belong to the SC category, you might have a better chance. It's always a good idea to check the latest cutoff trends and participate in the JoSAA counselling process .
