Jai Bharath College of Management and Engineering Technology, Perumbavoor Admission Process

Jai Bharath College of Management and Engineering Technology (JBCMET), is one of the prominent institutions in Perumbavoor, Kerala. It offers a variety of courses, namely undergraduate programs in engineering, diploma programs, and management programs. JBCMET conducts admission to select worthy candidates from throughout the country.  The admission cycle for JBCMET usually commences in the month of April-May for the academic session commencing in the month of August-September. Applications will be accepted on the basis of entrance exams at the state or national level set by different boards for different programs. The admission for B.Tech programs is through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examination, while for MBA programs, it is based on KMAT scores.

B.Tech programs have the following basic requirements for eligibility: a candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates are required to write and pass the KEAM examination. The performance of candidates in their 10+2 or an equivalent examination will also be considered by the college. For every diploma program, marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying examination will be considered for admission. Special eligibility criteria may apply to certain program choices. The admission schedule would be included in important dates like that of application deadlines, exam dates, and result announcements and would normally run along the KEAM and KMAT schedules.

Application Process

Application procedures for JBCMET differ according to programs:

For B.Tech programs:

  1. Qualify the KEAM examination.
  2. Register for centralized admission conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala.
  3. Fill in the online application form giving all details and preferences.
  4. Pay the application fee.
  5. Get through the allotment process as scheduled and announced by CEE Kerala.
  6. If allotted a seat in JBCMET, report to college for document verification and admission process.

For Diploma programs:

  1. To apply, visit the official JBCMET website or the state technical education board's respective site.
  2. Fill the online application for the diploma admissions.
  3. Upload all required documents and pay the application fee.
  4. Wait for the merit list or admission offer from the institute.
  5. If selected, report to JBCMET for document verification and complete the admission process.

In the MBA Program:

  1. Appear for the KMAT examination.
  2. Register on the official JBCMET website for MBA admission.
  3. Completely fill in the Application Form with all necessary documentation uploads.
  4. Pay the application fee.
  5. According to the institute's requirement, attend any other selection process.
  6. In case of selection, complete the admission process at JBCMET.

For MCA, BCA, and BBA programs:

  1. Visit the JBCMET official website and check for the specific application process for these programs.
  2. Fill out the online application for your desired program.
  3. Upload required documents and pay the application fee.
  4. Attend entrance tests or interviews as specified by the institute.
  5. If selected, report to JBCMET for document verification and admission.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Seven branches of B.Tech programs are offered by JBCMET: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things), and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Admission depends on the performance of the candidate in the KEAM examination. The institute has a total intake of 330 seats across all B.Tech programs.

Diploma: The college offers diploma programs in various engineering disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and Cyber Forensics and Information Security. Admissions to diploma courses depend on the marks secured by candidates in their qualifying examination. Each diploma program has an intake of 60 students.

Under JBCMET, the MBA program admits approximately 60 students whose qualifications are determined through the KMAT score. Shortlisted candidates might also take part in any subsequent selection procedure that the institution decides on.

The MCA program is offered by the college with 60 seats. The method of admission is going to be a combination of the entrance exam score and the academic performance at the level of the degree qualifying examination.

BCA and BBA: Basically, BCA and BBA were two programs offered with an intake of around 60 students each. Admission criteria may be based on performance in qualifying examinations (10+2 level) and other criteria stipulated by the institution.

 Usually, requirements for admission-related documentation include:

  • Passport size photograph
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificate
  • Degree certificate and mark sheets (for Postgraduate programs)
  • Entrance exam score card (KEAM for B.Tech, KMAT for MBA)
  • Caste certificate (if any)
  • ID proof
  • Address proof
  • Migration certificate (if any)
  • Any other relevant certificates as specified by the institute.
