Degree wise Admission Process

B. Tech/BE: Various courses rendered by the institute B.Tech and BE, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Fashion Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology, Civil Engineering. General admission to these courses is through TNEA counseling. The candidate should have completed the 10+2 pattern, which includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as core subjects and fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria set by TNEA.

MBA: MA in the discipline has an entry of 60 seats. Selection is based on the TANCET scores; the shortlisted candidates may have to go through additional selection processes of group discussions and personal interviews. Generally, a Bachelor's degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) is needed.

ME: The ME programs offered at JSREC have Applied Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering, and Structural Engineering. Each programme offers a total of 6 seats in it. Admission will typically be based on TANCET scores or other similar state-level entrance examinations measuring qualification for postgraduate programs in engineering. To be eligible, candidates must usually have possess a relevant B.E./B.Tech degree, along with the state's required minimum percentage as per the norms.

An admission requirement shall generally include:

  • Degree certificate and mark sheets (For PG)
  • TNEA rank card (for UG courses) or TANCET score card (for PG courses),
