Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology (JIT), Dharmapuri, is a self-supporting college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Besides undergraduate, it offers postgraduate programs in engineering and management. The admission process for this institute is purposed to acquire relevant candidates for various programs by an entrance test and from the academic performances.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.E./B.Tech: JIT offers a wide variety of B.E. and B.Tech programs including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology. Admission for these programs will be on the merit of performance in the state-level engineering entrance exam and combined with the marks scored in 12th standard. The intake into these programs is 480 seats in total.

MBA: As far as the institute is concerned, it has the MBA programs offering specializations in general management and also in entrepreneurship. Admissions into the MBA programs are purely based on the score obtained in TANCET, although there might be an interview procedure thereafter. JIT has 120 seats for its general MBA program and 60 seats for MBA in Entrepreneurship courses.

M.E.: JIT confers M.E. courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, CAD CAM, and Embedded Systems. The probable admission will be via TANCET scores or similar postgraduate entrance, and an interview can be conducted thereafter. The total intake for M.E. programs is 78 seats.
