Greetings! 

If you are opting to study in a Core Dept.the priority list is:

1. JGEC
2. KGEC
3. IEM

NOW,

KGEC is in vicinity of a metropolitan city like Kolkata. So,int terms of location it has a bigger advantage than JGEC.

But , JGEC is always reputed to have the best faculties in Core dept. Being a Govt. College,the lab faclities in EE dept. of JGEC are better than any other pvt. college(thats for sure).

Core dept . is always better in any Govt. College than in any pvt. College.

But if you want to grab a job in an IT firm rather than any Power sectors( meant for EE) , IEM has an upper hand than its counterparts.

Thus the choice of preference is upto. you.

Your rank is considerably good. You can definitely go for Kalyani government engineering College. It is one of the most reputable college of West Bengal under WBJEE. If you have your caste certificate with you then you can definitely try for other government colleges too, like

2. Kalyani government college

3. Haldia institute of technology

4. Jalpaiguri government college

5. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswa Vidyalaya

As you belong to sc category and your Schedule caste rank is 2254 there seems a  good chance for you to get a seat into electrical engineering department in kalyani government engineering college,Nadia as the cutoff ranks are very high for sc category.below mentioned are the branchwise cutoff rank for sc category.

thanks for asking your query as per your performance in wbjee you got a good rank which will suffice you to get kalyani government college in spot round but branch prediction cannot be done for spot round because it is the last round and most of the seats of colleges are filled.
