University is having all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments.it is the best college in india in all terms.college classrooms have smart boards, white boards and black boards also.Hostels have wifi systems also.
Curriculum is updated timely and includes all recent developments. Also professors ste very friendly. They make you understand in every possible way. Professors from Arts streams are so cooperative and will guide you throughout your learning process.
The university has a good track record of placements with reputable companies visiting the campus for recruitment drives. The placement cell works diligently to provide students with opportunities for internships and job placements.
Yes college is value for money.
Life in campus was nice.
Nothing
The campus facilities are well-maintained, contributing to a conducive learning atmosphere . UCSTA boasts impressive infrastructure. The historic premises, including the “Rashbehari Siksha Prangan” and “Taraknath Palit Siksha Prangan,” provide a rich academic environment.
The quality of academics is good. The curriculum aligns with industry trends and covers essential topics. Professors, including the legendary 1915 M.Sc. batch members like Satyendranath Bose and Meghnad Saha, impart knowledge effectively.
The college collaborates with industry partners, but students should actively participate in placement drives and skill-building activities. The average package one can expect is around 6 LPA. Faculty and management helps alot in finding jobs.
The College infrastructure is very much beautiful & student-friendly. Th classrooms are very big in size. There are many useful books in library. Also, there is a large computer lab where we can use computer for learning.
I have studied Master of Science in Pure Mathematics. The quality of teaching is very much great. All the professors are very much good. They teach us in a nice way. They take classes on a regular basis.
The quality of placements at my college has been outstanding. Many students get placements in different companies every year. The placement process is very much easy and pleasant for all of us. Our College is supportive.
We have different campuses for different disciplines. So the infrastructure varies from department to department. But overall we have a good infrastructure. The classrooms are delicate, equipped with air conditioner and projectors. Our libraries and laboratories are also well-equipped and well-maintained. We have a free wifi facility in our hostels. The campus, classrooms, and halls are cleaned daily. So we have a hygienic living space.
I have chosen electronics and communication engineering because electronics always fascinated me. Honestly speaking, the quality of teaching here is very good. The syllabus is being updated yearly so it gets better and better. The things that our university lags are extracurricular activities and tech events. We have to do extra courses from outside to make ourselves job-ready.
Our college started it's journey from 2015. For about the past 3 or 4 years, the placement records have not been well. But the scenario is changing. Our new placement officer has assured us placements from top companies. We already had visits from TCS. So we are hoping for the best.
My course costs around Rs.8300/- per year. My hostel fee is around 1700 per year!! So yes, it is one of the cheapest colleges in West Bengal. And do I feel getting my money's worth? ABSOLUTELY. The faculty here is very good, the campus has the latest technologies, the hostel facility is also very good. So yes, I do feel getting my money's worth.
Campus life is average. There are very few options for us other than studies. One can go to the gym or play table tennis. We have 3 canteens where students and faculty members go for lunch and sometimes for chatting with colleagues. This is only for the Rajabazar campus. Other campuses don't even have these few facilities. But our campus locations are good. There are hospitals nearby to handle emergencies. The student-teacher relationship is also very good. So the campus life is average.
Our college has just started it's journey but yet it has marked itself as one of the highest-ranked institutes in West Bengal. Yes there are some cons but overall it is a good college. And I feel grateful to be a student here.
The college is very new and renowned. It is a very new building. the classrooms have ac facilities. Classrooms are clean also.all of the labs are very new. All labs have new equipments. And some new labs in advance technologies are starting to form.
The academics is very good. All the teachers have their PhD and post doc done. They teach very well and also help in clearing the concepts. They always solve our doubts if required.so in a nutshell, the faculty is outstanding
This is a major issue in our college and it needs to be worked upon very soon. Recently a placement officer came to our college. Some IT companies recruit through our college with a minimum of 3-4 lakhs package. But overall the placements are poor.
In this perspect our college is the best. Our college charges around 3.6k each semester which is very less and overall fees is around 30k in 4 years of B.Tech. Exam fees is 500 rupees which is also very less. So compared to other colleges this is the cheapest.
Campus life is full of fun and enjoyment. There are 3 canteens in our college which is having WiFi facilities. The campus is situated in saltlake area from where ample number of buses and other vehicles are available. There is also a gym and table tennis room where the students can spend their leisure time.
Good college
College infrastructure is good. But there is no playground. Librarybis fully digital and we'll equipped with books. Classrooms are air conditioned for only 1st year. Labs are well equipped. I don't know about any sport centre and may be there is nothing like one. Hostels are not good and there are WiFi connection.
I'm in polymer science department. It's comparably new subject and it's a emerging field. Quality of teaching is world class but quantity of teachers are less and in 1st year most of the classes are taken by temporary faculties. Which is not good. Chemical industry in India is poor as most of the fundamental institutions don't have curriculum aligned with the industry and it's same for this university too.
Placement is very poor. This university doesn't release any reliable data about placement so there is no way one can say that what is the condition of placement. Being in the university we can tell that placements are not good here some of seniors also say that certain departments has good placement but that's not true. Average salary maybe lesser than 5 lac
Per year I have to pay around rs. 10000. And total around rs. 40000 will be needed to complete a b.tech. So of course it's worth money. As we Indians first become a engineer then whatever we want. So to be a engineer the value needed to pay is nominal. And it's independent of socio-economic background of the students.
There is no ground in the campus for playing. But here teachers are very helpful and support us in many activities. And also teaching is world class. It's safe in the city of Kolkata. And emergencies can be handled easily.
This university may be the one of the oldest institutions in the country but its glory and fame has faded with time due to corruption. But still it's considered as one of the top university in India as nirf and qs rankings. So please don't worry about placement just like our ex-VC said that university is a place to study not to get a job. And you can search and verify this. #littlesarcasm. Thank you.
Infrastructure and faculty is very much concern about the students of all branches.Berofe taking any steps they always consult with class representative. Hostel is very neat and clean. Secretary office also encourage us to commit fest.
The university provides very good quality of teaching. Also Our professors has many working experience. Students can also join them in project work. Scholar also help us in our study. In some department, there are two internal exam to justify a student.
At the ending of course the university provides a very good placement with an attractive salary package. Also it provides the opportunity to all student for pursuing higher study in abroad. Also they provide start up idea to students.
The university provides good quality of teaching instead of cheap cost. They provide the facility of extemption of semester fees for some students who can't carry it.
Campus life is cheerful. Many cultures and technical event take place in our university premises. It also provides free wi-fi,gym and a library wich contain many journal.
Department of all engineering branches should encourage students to join internship during their course of study as much as possible.
