Convenient to believe: Such a common use name given to the Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences Engineering Institute (KNIPSS) . The institute has been registered by AICTE and grants admission mainly on merit basis through national and state-level entrance examinations. The JEE Main score card is required for admission to B.Tech programs in KNIPSS. This national examination very much contributes to the entrance in the years of its reach into undergraduate engineering programs in India, so the admission cycle is organized around JEE Main i.e. application in the first quarter of the year, results of the examination declared, admission counselling carried out thereafter.
For diploma programs primarily in Civil Engineering, the institute considers another entrance examination held for him, the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic), commonly referred to as JEECUP. This state-level examination is meant solely for students aspiring to gain admission to various polytechnic courses in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility for B.Tech programs in KNIPSS depends on one going through the 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics being the core subjects. For the diploma courses, the eligibility is stretched to students having gone through 10th standard examination seeking admission through JEECUP.

Selection is purely on the basis of performance in JEE Main for the B. Tech courses and in JEECUP for the diploma courses, and then a counseling process is provided whereby students are allotted seats based on their rank and the availability of the seat. KNIPSS Engineering Institute does not have a specific clause in their policy to mention quotas, however, they apply the standard government norms.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech: B.Tech programs such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering-all three offering 60 seats each and an additional 6 seats for lateral entry for each branch. The admission is based on merit in JEE Main followed by counseling with JEE Main admission process.
Diploma: The institute offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, wherein each course takes in 60 students. Admission in these courses is done by way of counseling based on a candidate's performance in JEECUP examination.
