The institute has been registered by AICTE and grants admission mainly on merit basis through national and state-level entrance examinations. The JEE Main score card is required for admission to B.Tech programs in KNIPSS. This national examination very much contributes to the entrance in the years of its reach into undergraduate engineering programs in India, so the admission cycle is organized around JEE Main i.e. application in the first quarter of the year, results of the examination declared, admission counselling carried out thereafter.

Application Proces

The application procedure of KNIPSS Engineering Institute differs according to each of the programs:

For B.Tech Programs:

1. Write the JEE Main examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Qualify JEE Main with a valid score.
3. Register for JEE Main counseling process.
4. During the counseling, choose KNIPSS Engineering Institute and preferred B.Tech course.
5. In case of allotment of a seat, report to the institute for document verification and completing the admission procedure.

For Diploma Programs:

1. Sit for JEECUP examination.
2. Qualify JEECUP with a valid score.
3. Attend counseling for JEECUP.
4. During counseling, select KNIPSS Engineering Institute and desired diploma course.
5. In case of allotment of a seat, report to the institute and complete the admission process.

The admission is based on merit in JEE Main followed by counseling with JEE Main admission process.

Diploma: The institute offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, wherein each course takes in 60 students. Admission in these courses is done by way of counseling based on a candidate's performance in JEECUP examination.
