Degree Wise Admission Procedure
B.E.s (Bachelor of Engineering): The B.E. courses offered at KIT are Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The admission process for these courses should primarily depend on the state engineering entrance exam. The permissible intake for Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is 60 seats each, while Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering hold 30 each.
M.E.s (Master of Engineering): The M.E. courses offered at KIT include Structural Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Power Electronics and Drives. For admission to these programs, TANCET scores determine admission to most of these courses. The allowed intake for Structural Engineering is 24 students, for Manufacturing Engineering, and for Power Electronics and Drives, there are each 12 seats.
MBA: The authorized intake for the MBA at KIT is 60. Admission to this programme is mostly based on TANCET scores followed by a group discussion and personal interview.
