The college infrastructure is really good. Since my college has been established long ago, there have been continuous developments in hostels, academic classrooms, and the mess, which I find truly commendable. The library facilities are also excellent, with a collection of 90,860 volumes, 30,152 titles, 224 journals, and 30 magazines. All these facilities have personally benefited me a lot.
From an academic perspective, the regulation for our batch is well-structured. For the upcoming junior batches, a new curriculum—Regulation 2024—has been introduced. In my 3rd semester, I studied Digital Logic and Microprocessors, a subject that helped me understand the fundamental principles of combinational and sequential logic circuits, along with the design of various counters. Additionally, it provided insights into the functional architecture of the 8086 microprocessor and its interfacing techniques.
In terms of placements, our college is putting in its best efforts. Specifically, a senior from my department, belonging to the 2025 batch, secured a placement at "Rubrik" with a package of 21 LPA, the highest in that batch. Seeing such achievements firsthand has given me a real-time perspective on the benefits our college provides.
Infrastructure means a lot in my college, as I have access to several facilities. We have good Wi-Fi connectivity, banking facilities such as a KVB bank and an ATM, and even a post office within the campus etc.
The academics are progressing well, as the curriculum is structured with both theory and laboratory subjects each semester. For example, in the subject Database Management Systems, I am gaining a solid understanding of the fundamentals of data models and learning how to conceptualize and represent a database system using various techniques and methods.
Our seniors from the outgoing batch of 2025 have secured placements in several prestigious companies. Notably, 8 students were placed at Azentio with a package of 10 LPA, while another 6 students were placed at JGC with a package of 6.6 LPA. I am confident that their success reflects the quality of education and training we receive here.
I feel the infrastructure at Kongu College is really impressive, as we have excellent facilities for physical education, transportation, hostels, accommodations, a dispensary, RO purifiers, and an amenity center etc.
The academic session has been a great experience. As part of my current curriculum, in my 4th semester, I am studying Microprocessor and Embedded Systems, which focuses on the architecture and programming of microprocessors and microcontrollers for embedded system design.
As of January 2025, the placement record for the 2025 batch at our college has been impressive. A total of 1,143 offers were made, with 977 students, including my seniors, successfully securing placements. Additionally, 210 companies participated in the campus recruitment process.
The college infrastructure includes a spacious auditorium with a seating capacity of 4,500, used for multiple purposes. Additionally, it features an indoor basketball court and four indoor badminton courts.
In academics, our college follows a structured assessment system. For theory and practical subjects, internal assessments contribute 50 marks as continuous assessment, while the end-semester examination carries 50 marks. For theory-cum-practical courses, the marking scheme may vary accordingly.
The placement scenario in our college for the 2025 batch includes 4 students securing positions at Azentio with a package of 10 LPA, another 4 students placed at Soliton with a package of 8 LPA, and 2 students placed at Integrated with a package of 10 LPA.

Dear Student,
Numerous employment options are made available to college seniors. In order to guarantee that students have access to sufficient employment options, the college set up a placement cell in 1998. The placement cell of Kongu Engineering College keeps in touch with numerous businesses and invites them to hire students. It oversees all of the placement-related operations at KEC Erode. The placement cell offers technical training to students in order to help them develop their soft skills. The placement also arranges online assessments for pupils to enhance verbal, logical, and quantitative aptitude. The placement cell also provides internship possibilities to non-final year students in addition to placements. Internships expose students to corporate work environments and cultures, which ultimately improves their chances of being hired for a position in the fourth year.
Around 220 organisations participated in placements, according to the official Kongu Engineering College placement report 2019–20. The participating businesses submitted a total of 1325 offerings. As many as 1043 students were placed in KEC Erode's placements for 2019–20.
