Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy (MRCP), one of the prominent institutions in Telangana state of Secunderabad, provides a full range of pharmacy courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The council-recognized Pharmacy Council of India college, has a formal procedure for admissions to select the best candidates for their various courses.
The admission procedure of MRCP is generally concurrent with the academic session, which normally starts in August-September. Admission to undergraduate courses is predominantly through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). The TS EAMCET Pharmacy and Agriculture examination will be conducted from April 28 to April 29, 2025, in online mode.
Application Process
Application procedure in Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy is different for the course:
For B.Pharma:
1. Clear the TS EAMCET test.
2. Enroll in the counseling process organized by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
3. Select MRCP and B.Pharma during the counseling process.
4. In case of seat allotment, attend document verification and admission process at MRCP.
For M.Pharma courses:
1. Clear TS PGECET or GPAT exam.
2. Apply to MRCP directly on the merit of scores in these exams.
3. Finish the college admission process, which could involve a personal interview.
4. On selection, finish the admission process at MRCP.
For Pharm.D and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate:
1. Fulfill the eligibility requirements (B.Pharma degree for Post Baccalaureate program).
2. Apply directly to MRCP or through a centralized admissions process.
3. Attend any other selection processes as mandated by the college.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: B.Pharma admission from MRCP is done through the TS EAMCET entrance exam. 100 seats are provided by the college for this four-year under-graduate degree. The candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to be qualified for admission.
M.Pharma: MRCP provides M.Pharma courses with Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology as specializations. Two-year postgraduate courses are available on TS PGECET and GPAT test ranking. Admission is through B.Pharma degree holders or equivalent.
Pharm.D: The university also offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree. Although the admission details are not given, it can be assumed that the admission process would be based on the same entrance exam requirements as other courses.
Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate: MRCP also provides a Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate program for students who are already B.Pharma degree holders. The admission process for the course might have specific requirements for B.Pharma students.
