Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET) Kanyakumari offers a range of engineering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The AICTE-approved institution applies a merit admission process to its programs. MACET's admission season typically overlaps with Anna University's academic schedule to which it is affiliated.
For BE/B.Tech courses, the admissions are generally based on marks obtained by the students in their qualifying examination (+2 or equivalent). The college has seats under various quotas, i.e., merit quota, management quota, and NRI quota. The seats may be distributed under these quotas differently for different courses.
Postgraduate admissions (ME/M.Tech) in MACET take into account the merit of the candidates in suitable entrance tests, i.e., TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test), followed by counseling process according to Anna University norms.
Minimum eligibility for BE/B.Tech courses is passing 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates need to complete an appropriate undergraduate program in engineering or technology for ME/M.Tech courses.

Documents needed for the process of application are generally:
I'm studying B.Tech Information Technology and I like to work in IT field so I choose B.Tech IT. The quality of teaching is very good and facilities are very friendly and easily understandable. I think my curriculum is not up-to-date and it doesn't have all recent development in the field.
