Meenakshi College of Engineering, Chennai Admission Process

MCE, or Meenakshi College of Engineering, is located in Chennai, with the explicit aim of providing excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Engineering, Architecture, and Management Studies. The college is affiliated with Anna University and has received approval from AICTE and the Council of Architecture. The entire admission procedure seeks to identify deserving candidates. The admission cycle usually starts long before the academic year initiates around August-September. Depending upon the program, the college would accept applications to various national or state entrance tests. The key considerations for undergraduate engineering programs could be the state-level engineering entrance exam scores, whereas for B.Arch, NATA scores would be given due consideration.

For postgraduate programs, the college accepts the scores of TANCET for certain courses. The total intake in these programs is around 1501 students, thus guaranteeing the existence of a diverse yet competitive student body. Eligibility criterion for different programs may vary, but essentially candidates should have completed the 10+2 standard from a recognized board with requisite subject combination and minimum aggregate marks; candidates for consideration at the postgraduate level should hold a relevant bachelor's degree.
