The applicants are required to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the College which is to be followed by counselling. Qualified candidates are required to take admission within the prescribed dates and the list of the qualified candidates with the date of admission will be notified in the College Notice Board. The selected candidates will have to present all original mark sheets and testimonials for verification by the College Office for admission. Those who appeared at the H. S. Examination / Degree Examination of the current year may also apply and will be admitted provisionally if selected. Their continuation is subject to obtaining minimum marks as required by the Bar Council of India.

The admission process begins with the entrance test for candidates interested in joining the College. The entrance test holds considerable weight in the admission process, as it serves to ascertain the aptitude and knowledge of the prospective law students. After the entrance exam, the shortlisted candidates will participate in a round of counseling. The entrance test together with counseling admits only those candidates whom the College, in its judgement, considers most appropriate for the law courses. All admission procedures for law programs conducted by the College abide by the eligibility criteria given by the Bar Council of India.
Application Process
The application for Midnapore Law College comprises several steps:
1. Application Submission: Candidates interested in the program will procure and fill in an application form. Actual methods with which to obtain the form have not been specified; however, it may be available through either the College website or the College office.
2. Entrance Test: All candidates must sit for an entrance test conducted by the College Authorities. This examination aims to assess the candidate's aptitude for legal studies.
3. Counselling: Candidates who are successful in the entrance test are invited for the counselling session, which most likely includes document verification and possibly an interview.

Degree-wise Admission Process
BA LLB (Hons.) Integrated: Midnapore Law College offers a 5-year integrated course. The basic elements in the admission of this course are an entrance test held by the College followed by counselling. Candidates who have completed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent are eligible for admission. The fee payable for this course is Rs. 320,000.
LLB: Midnapore Law College offers a 3-year LLB program. The mode of admission to the LLB course is the same as that laid down for BA LLB (Hons) whereby the entrance test is required to be passed followed by the mandatory counselling session. Candidates are eligible for this program if they have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The fee for this program is Rs. 11,000.
In both programs, qualified candidates must take admission on or before the specified dates. The list of qualified candidates with the admission dates is displayed on the College Notice Board. Selected candidates must present all original mark sheets and testimonials for verification by the College Office at the time of admission.
Candidates who are appearing for their Higher Secondary Examination or Degree Examination at present may also apply. If selected, they shall be provisionally admitted and their admission is subject to maintaining the minimum marks as stipulated by the Bar Council of India.
