NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology (NIIST), Bhopal, being one of the prestigious engineering institutes in India, and provides various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, computer, management, and information technology programs. NIIST believes in a rigorous and merit-based admission procedure that considers national and state-level entrance examinations for different courses. The admission cycle at NIIST generally is in line with the national-level entrance examinations. The admissions primarily on the basis of the JEE (Main) rankings for the undergraduate engineering programmes. While the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) governs the MBA postgraduate admissions, the GATE score is required for admission to M.Tech programmes.

Application Process

The application process for NIIST depends on what program you are applying for:

For B.Tech/BE programs:

  1. Qualify the JEE (Main) examination.

  6. Complete Admission Formalities if Selected.

For M.Tech programs:

  1. Qualify for GATE.
  2. Apply through the NIIST website or the designated admission portal.
  3. Submit required documents such as the GATE scorecard, B.Tech/BE mark sheets, and other certificates.
  4. Pay application fees.
  5. Attend interview rounds if required.
  6. Complete the admission formalities if selected.

The normal trend in the selection process is to form a merit list based on the scores of the entrance examination and this must be followed by document verification and allotting seats. Interviews may be added for some programs.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech/BE: NIIST offers a lot of B.Tech and BE programs such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. More mainly JEE (Main) rankings will be considered and there are total of 420 seats in these programs, with Computer Science and Engineering having a maximum intake of 120 seats.

MBA: NIIST has approved 240 seats for their MBA program, and admissions are being conducted via the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). The same may be followed by other rounds like group discussions and personal interviews.

MCA: NIIST has an approved intake of 180 seats for the MCA program. It is likely that admission for MCA is based on a relevant entrance examination, but no further information is available.

M.Tech: Various M.Tech programs at the institute such as Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Communications, Information Technology, Power Electronics, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, and Advanced Production Systems exist. The selections into these courses are primarily based on the GATE scores. Each M.Tech programme has an intake of 18 to 36 seats.

B.com College faculty and management is very bad , they only want money from the students, also placement is very poor , only the miss chouhan mam HOD and 2019 old faculty was good , new faculty have too much ego and they Evey time give you pricipal or director warning.....

Because the teaching quality of this college is average and no doubt on teaching staff but sometimes teacher's not take classes regularly. No recent developments in this college.
