NSS Law College, Kottiyam Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The College, an establishment of the University of Kerala, and is placed within the precincts of Kollam District of Kerala. The college, well recognized in the field of excellence in legal education, is also duly approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Admission to NSS Law College is highly competitive, seeking candidates to the integrated BA LLB program through a process of formal merit pertaining to admission. For majority of cases, admission to NSS Law College, Kottiyam, shall be through the Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE). It is the main and only entrance examination at the state level for the aspirants of law in the state of Kerala. KLEE is the mode adopted by the college for fostering a sense of impartiality and competition amongst the applicants for admission to the BA LLB program.

All admission procedures strictly comply with the academic calendar of the University of Kerala. The reporting dates may vary from one year to the other, but aspirants need to prepare themselves to appear for KLEE in the months preceding the start of the new academic study.  Eligibility requirements to enroll for BA LLB include the passing of an examination, equivalent to 10+2, from a recognized board. There are no specific percentage requirements, but a candidate must obtain, as a minimum, the basis of eligibility laid down by either the University of Kerala or the Bar Council of India as regards law programs.

Application Process

NSS Law College, Kottiyam, conducts the application process in the following steps:

1. Enroll in KLEE: KLEE is the principal qualifying examination for admission to various law institutions in Kerala, and all candidates are required to register for and sit for this examination.

2. Check for KLEE results: After the declaration of KLEE results, aspirants check their respective marks and rankings.

3. Application Submission: The interested candidates submit their application forms to NSS Law College, Kottiyam, possibly through an online form on the college's website or as instructed by the appropriate admission authorities.

4. Document Verification: These candidates must verify their documents. Documents to be presented include:

• KLEE score card
• Marksheets for 10th and 12th standards
• Transfer Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Any other documents specified by college/university

5. Publication of the Merit List: The merit list will be published by the college based on the KLEE score, along with other criteria as set forth by the university and BCI norms.

6. Counseling and Allotting of Seats: All the candidates will be called for counseling and seats would be allotted as per merit and preferences.

7. Fee Payment and Confirmation of Admission: The selected candidates would deposit their fees and confirm their admission in order to hold their seats.

The program was awarded a sanctioned capacity of 60 students, thereby ensuring a good environment for focused and high-quality learning. Students for this program are selected on the performance shown in the Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE). The goal of this integrated course is to provide students with a sound understanding of the knowledge systems of liberal arts and law in preparation for an array of professions within the legal domain.
