The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments which are related to the students such as classrooms with projectors and plug point but no smart boards, wifi and Ac provided in the class, the seating are comfortable with 100 students accommodate in a classrooms. The college doesn't provide students with hostels and mess.
I did my graduation in statistics, the quality of teaching is one of the best in Mizoram with the college being rank A+ in NAAC. The professors are very punctual and knowledgeable towards their respective fields. The curriculum is bit out dated and required some changes to the syllabus. The faculties give us theoretical knowledge but provide less practical solution which doesn't make us job ready.
The college doesn't offer any placements or internships within the campus nor does it have placement cells to help students to get their dream job. The college also lacks master courses so most of the students opting for higher education leave from the college after graduation.
If we ignore the placement of the college and concentrate only the facilities and the academic concern of the college it is one of the best in Mizoram or whole North East with the professors teaching technique and quality.
The campus life of the college is decent and the college is easily approachable for the students as it is locate inside the city where students can park their vehicles and also bus services is easily available, but the only concern is the traffic jam due to the college just opposite to the road.
Yes, the college provides all the necessary facilities, infrastructure and equipment for the students. It also provides wifi for students and wired internet connections, the classrooms and laboratories are equipped with interactive boards and LCD/LED projects and also Fully functional lab available for the students.
I studied my bachelors there in Pachhunga University College as it is one of the best colleges in Mizoram and is ranked 34th NIRF ranking in 2023 ( College Category). The academic conditions in terms of quality of faculty and learning is healthy and adequate.
The College does not offer any job placement and the college does not offer any Master's Courses either. Many students pursue their master's degree somewhere else, some do get jobs at private institutions and government firms after their graduation.
PUC has one of the best infrastructure in Aizawl college as we are well equipped with all the necessary infrastructure such as football field, basketball court, large backyard where students interact and also have smart boards in classes. We have a big library where mostly 3rd year students utilise it to prepare for numerous exams. Different hostels are available for both boys and girls (College hostel) and apart from these private hostels are available as well. The food is clean and hygienic.
Every year till date PUC has a very good results when it comes to academics. From various streams they would have at least 4 or 5 students in the Top 10 in Mizoram. The professors are all experienced and their main focus is on critical thinking rather than focusing on textbook and this is what makes them unique from others. The syllabus are updated from time to time and makes sure that they study every relevant topics that can nurture them in the future.
Placement at PUC to be honest is not good. As like other colleges it is a UG college, so no direct placement is available over here. Students from various places joins this as it is one of the best UG college in Mizoram due to its performance in the MZU sports and MZU academic results as well. Few people like the top ones do get placement getting Rs35,000-RS40,000 but it is a very rare case.
The cost of the course at PUC for BBA during our time was average. During our time as I was staying in College hostel I paid a total of RS60,000 per year which includes educational fees as well as hostel fees. I do sincerely believe that we the cost is neither too high nor low as the infrastructure provided to us, knowledge and teaching that we get is worthwhile.
The best thing about PUC is it the campus Life. Situated at a decent and nice environment, where the view is amazing and hearing the birds chirping early in the morning along with the breeze wind blowing is what makes PUC so interesting and the worst thing is that we feel our stay was too short. Students and teachers are very friendly and supportive in everything whether it may be at MZU sports or Intra-college sports where we used to have lots of fund and build a strong bond.
Pachhunga University College takes great pride in its comprehensive infrastructure and state of the art facilities that enhances the overall learning experience for students. Our institution is committed to providing environment that foster academic excellence and personal Growth. In our classroom, we have smart board and Ac as well. Our libraries are decent and we do have a large playing area as well. Food is hygienic and decent as we have one of the best cooks in Mizoram.
I have graduated from B.Sc Chemistry because I do believe that in our daily lives chemistry is very important. Apart from the education that we learn in the class, we have the experience to gain valuable knowledge from our experienced teachers. They focus more quality over quantity. Our Chemistry Professor has been awarded the best chemistry for a number of year as well. The courses changes after every few years in order for the students to prepare ahead and make them confident and ready.
The placement to be honest is not good at all. The reason is that like other colleges it is UG, so direct placement is not there. Only few people from each batch got direct placement. From our batch out of 90 students only 10% got direct placement and the average salary is Rs 25,000. The highest got Rs40,000 but there was only 1.
The course varies for each department. As a B.Sc. Chemistry students I paid Rs 1,50,000 for education purpose alone. The value, the experience that we attained is immeasurable as we always have GK and our subject related test every weekend where the winners gets a small award on Monday assembly. This really light the spark in us and helps us to work hard. I do believe that each and every students are getting their money's worth because they provide excellence education.
One of the best part of being a PUC student is the campus life. The moment you enter it, you will directly feel the vibe. There are ample of places where we can sit outside in the open air and have a conversation. Every year PUC would always be amongst the top college in co-curricular activities and its always preferred by the athletes students. Teachers are the ones who supported them whenever they are participating in a competition. The location is safe, and also comes with a great view.
The college infrastucture and equipments are passable but they could do better. The facilites in the classroom are quite good and clean but the laboratories are not well-maintained and the facilites are not that good. Our college only have one library and it's often quite packed as well. And the wifis and smart boards are not well managed but the living spaces and food are clean and hygienic.
I'm doing my masters in analytics right now because while i was doing my bachelors i found i'd quite a knack in data analysing and manangement. The quality of teaching is exceptionally good and the lectures are also excellent as well as the professors. Our curriculum is quite updated and is excellent and yes, what i'm studying mames me job-ready.
The quality of placements at our college is excellent as 100% of students were placed every year. The highest salaraynpackage was 49.09LPA and the course was Human Resources Management and Labour Relations programme. The average salary package is 27.22LPA. The placement process is still ongoing right now and yes my college is very supportive.
My course cost 3L per year and I feel I'm getting my money's worth because the teachings and lectures are excellent. Our professors want and always did their best for us and there are no discrimination whatsoever in the marks and grades given.
The college campus is quite nice as there are many trees and the environment is good and healthy. The worst part is we have to wait quite a while for taxis and rickshaws as it is just near a highway bridge. There are many co-curricular activities we can participate in such as sports, save the trees projects etc. The students are the best. There is no discrimination and they are all very friendly. The teachers and support staffs are also very helpful to us and always tends to our needs.
Since, it is located in the North east of India , the college infrastructure is quite good. The compound itself is magnificent. The campus contains a basketball court, a football field, a gym building and a sports building for various games. The hostel is located in the campus itself which is quite hygienic and most of all north east people are nice.
I studied BBA for the past three years here in Pachhunga University College and has quite an adventure of it. I studied BBA because I have been interested in management since I was a child. My aim is to work at a very well known company. The curriculum is updated to date so far from what i have experience.
To be honest, placements here is not good from what I have experienced. Only about 10% of the students get placed. So it is difficult for the other students who are average in studies. Hope this change soon.
The course itself cost around 6000 per year. No other colleges in India would provide an education for this much only. The faculties and staff are the best here so we do get our money’s worth in everything.
My campus life in PUC is one of a journey. It has lots of ups and downs in a good way and a bad way. The faculties and staff are quite open minded so they understand the youth life. Our academic and co curriculum activities are well balanced here so thats why i loved it here
