Sardar Raja College of Engineering, Tirunelveli Admission Process

Sardar Raja College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, is a leading engineering college in Tamil Nadu. The college provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology. The admission procedure of SRCE is aimed at the selection of worthy candidates based on their academic records and entrance test results.

The admission process at SRCE is generally in conformity with the Tamil Nadu academic schedule, with admission taking place between May-June for the academic year August-September. SRCE provides a number of avenues of application via which it welcomes applications, depending on the course and category of the applicant.

Eligibility criteria are different depending upon the program. For undergraduate programs, the applicants should have 10+2 education with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as mandatory subjects. Postgraduate applicants should have a bachelor's degree in the same discipline from an approved university.

Application Process

Sardar Raja College of Engineering application process is different based on the program:

For B.E./B.Tech programs:

1. Pass Higher Secondary Examination with relevant subjects and a minimum of marks.
2. Submit through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process.
3. Complete application form and send along with documents.
4. Pay application fee as decided by the college or TNEA.
5. Wait for counseling process or merit list as notified by TNEA.
6. On the day of selection, report to SRCE for document verification and admission procedures.

For M.E. and MCA courses:

1. Attend the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or any other course-specific entrance exam.
2. Apply directly to SRCE or through the centralized admission process, if available.
3. Complete the application form for the concerned course.
4. Submit all the required documents, such as graduation records and marks in the entrance test.
5. Pay the application fee as prescribed by the college.
6. Appear for counseling or interview, if held by the college.
7. Pay fees and submit original documents on selection, to finalize the admission process.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.E. Programmes: There are various B.E. degrees such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Civil Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Candidates are chosen based on marks scored in the Higher Secondary Examination under Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions regulation. The approved intake for all the B.E. programmes is 60 seats except for the Civil Engineering programme and Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 30 seats each.

M.E. Programmes: The college provides different M.E. specializations like Power Systems Engineering, Applied Electronics, Communication and Networking Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural Engineering, and VLSI Design. The sanctioned intakes for M.E. Power Systems Engineering are 18 seats, and for other M.E. programmes, the intakes are 9 seats each. The admission to M.E. programmes can be based on TANCET scores or other equivalent qualifications.

MCA Program: SRCE also has a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program with an approved intake of 30 seats. MCA admission may be through consideration of TANCET scores or other appropriate criteria.

Admission documents typically required are:

  • 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets of postgraduate applicants
  • Entrance test score card (if applicable)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Community certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport size photographs
  • Any other certificates as may be needed by the institute

Academics was best as in in the university , it had a good staffs and lab attendants to do the teaching and that are to be in the sort of good academics so the academics was good and clear even for slow learners
