Shaheed Bhagat singh college is situated at South campus of the Delhi. College infrastructure is outstanding as big spacious campus. Good infrastructure and proper classroom, academic cell and statue of shaheed bhagat is situated with in the campus. Different Different socities are there like nukkad natak, sports society etc.
Faculties of the college are good they are experts in their knowledge domain. Professors guide us teach us in very good manner . Many extracurricular activities are organised to develop skills of students. Curriculum is updated asper delhi university guidelines.
College provide placement opportunities in companies like Deloitte, PWC, Wipro and Tech mahindra in different different profile. Many internship opportunities and webinar happens in campus . College has collaboration with Institute like catking, UPSC, SSC so that students can also prepare for competitive exams.
The infrastructure of Shaheed bhagat singh college is very good with availability of all the necessity like library, canteen, water cooler, IT Lab. Despite all the facilities there is a lack of cleanliness in the college. Sports ground of the college is pretty good to play and perform.
The academics part of the Shaheed bhagat singh college is also very good. Teacher are amazing in their teaching skills. But the college is too strict, the students have to maintain at least an attendance of 70% otherwise aren't allowed to sit in the exam and have to give the exam in next semester. Overall it's good but strict.
The placement of the shaheed bhagat singh college is good with an average package of around 4.5 LPA and about 50% of the students get placed, and the highest package is somewhat around 10LPA. Overall placement with it's placement cell is nice. THis package seems to be low but it's better than most of the private colleges.
Had all the basic infrastructure that every college had. Had a decent library and playground. There is no proper hall and all the seminars are held in a class. A very basic sport centre was there . Living spaces was clean.
I studied ba economics honours. Few teachers very very good at teaching whereas few just came to class to read the papers. I don't think what I studied there was enough to make me job ready. Everything was just theoretical.
I don't know much as I didn't participated or applied for any placement while I studied there. I didnt asked anything to those who got placement. But heard 3 or 4 of my class mates got job. But don't remember their salary packages.
Our college fees was nearly 7000 per annum which is very reasonable so as per my fees I think it was reasonable.
For me there was nothing best as half of my college life was online and the rest of it was okayish.
I really liked the shaheed bhagat singh college as it was well maintained infrastructure. It really has a vast area and so many classes room so that many people can be teach at same time. It really have big spaces in classroom as well as their ground is very big size so can we can play and practice with an ease.
I am studying bcom hons as I want to be in management and accounting field. As for this college I can say teachers are very helpful and supportive. The way of there teaching is also very impressive. Also they are well updated towards the course which ultimately benefit us the student.
Placements from this college will be an average as there is so much tough competition therefore the big companies who came here look for the exception if you have good grades and get what they actually want then only you can get it.
It's really value for money as it was under delhi university there was this course have less fees than the private college therefore hereby I am impressed with what they provide with it. I think I will eventually get this moneys worth.
College campus was really great. It's best part is it is very much bigger so can we can enjoy as we want. The students and teacher and the staff I have meet till now the experience was really good. It's location was seriously damn as there were trees everywhere you can feel nature. It can easily handle emergency.
Overall if I say about this college if you really want a value for money with in less cost and a good experience then you can really get here as it offers so many greats things I really liked it till now and really want to look forward for the future with some more interesting experience.
College infrastructure is good . I enjoyed a lot in college as it has good facility it has good infrastructure with facility of wifi , sports ground , libraries and big classroom with proper table and chairs .
Faculty of Shaheed bhagat college is amazing . As they provide proper guidance , proper cirruculum is updated . Faculty provide proper support to student and many personality development courses they conduct for student . I am pursued BA political Honors from there .
I pursued my graduation degree in Ba honors in political science . Their is no placement but your personality development happened. Earlier I am very shy but after attending this college I Groom my personality . So there is no placement but some internship and volunteering activity is provided to student.
The college has a nice infrastructure surrounded by beautiful trees and plants everywhere. However the smart projectors in classroom not always work. The library of college is really big and have all the necessary books needed.
I studied Bcom (H) because I have an interest in accounting. The quality of teaching is alright. Some teachers are really nice and keeps the class really engaging while others are too boring that some students even sleep in the class.
The placement cell does find some really good companies to work for. The placement cell also is really helpful and supportive. The average salary package in 2023 was I guess 4-5lkhs. However the highest salary package providing company i.e. DE shaw never came back after the first round.
At a cost of just 7500rs each year with an additional examination charges which are nominal the services provided by the college are really worth it. The infrastructure, placements and other things are definitely worth it in such a nominal amount.
The campus life was alright. The first 3 semesters of the college went online due to Covid 19 so missed half of the college life due to that. The crowd in the college was decent and i did made some good friends there. Overall a decent enjoyable campus life.
Infrastructure of college is damn good. Big classrooms are there with no issue of space. 2-3 Practical labs are there for performing practicals. You can ask for extra time in labs after class. Wi-Fi facility is there. Library is very big and nice with lots of books and good environment. Food in canteen is not so good. Medical facilities are there for emergency situations. College is also worthy for sports lover students also.
The teachers were not highly qualified but they were very strict and rude with students, and they did not take a single lecture on time. Professors did provide industry knowledge. The semester exams are not too tough. They are easy and the passing mark is 33%.
I don't know much about the placements since I just started, but there are many good companies in the placement camp of the college. EY, Brain, and Co. have come for recruiting. The highest package was INR 22 lakhs, if I remember right. I don't think that undergrad placements matter. Undergrad is a place to find and know yourself better, improve communication skills, and make friends.
Good college.
Friendly environment and teachers. Overall good experience for someone who's outgoing but you can make friends easily. Everyone is helpful in nature. You get holidays to visit your hometown. Great location.
Academically a good college. It comes in top 10 college of south campus of Delhi University. Along with academics, you can pursue your interest in a lot of societies. Teachers are punctual and complete the syllabus on time
Placements just like in any other college can be bagged when you have technical expertise as both college and corporate world are way too different. But placement societies do a lot of efforts in calling good companies hence it's really great.
Infrastructure is pretty decent as per me. There's a basketball and volleyball court and playground for cricket, football etc. Two average canteen with decent pricing but food is not up to the mark it's satisfactory. What our college lack is an auditorium which i think is an important part of the college. Talking about the classrooms, labs and library, so yeah some classrooms are pretty good but some aren't, and library is good I've used library pretty often and it was a nice experience and there's no hostel facility in our college. But overall everything is well maintained and clean, there's no litter in the campus
I'm studying bsc mathematics hons because I'm quite interested in maths from the beginning of my journey as a student. I would say quality of teaching isn't up to the mark for my course in our college. No doubt teachers are well qualified but what they lack is art of teaching, I've struggled a lot in my first semester exams. Yeah I think curriculum is updated and includes all the recent recent development in the field. I think studying probability and stats will make you a bit job ready but other things I've studied so far doesn't make a lot of sense if i am talking about job
I don't know much about placements but as far as i know about 50% of students were placed last year according to their scores. The process wasn't hard to cover as it was simple but quite lengthy. Yes, my college was supportive
My course cost 13305 per year. Yes, I feel I'm getting my money's worth because charging such a small amount for graduation degree is pretty reasonable.
Campus isn't really big but covers almost every important feature a college campus should have. The best part is that campus building is divided into blocks which makes it easy to find your allocated room and the worst part is it doesn't have an auditorium and no court for badminton. Students can engage in numerous sports as well as they can be a part of many societies like drama, dance etc. Students are pretty friendly but talking about teachers and support staff it varies from person to person some of them aren't kind but some are. Location is quite decent as well we share our wall with a college and yes it can handle emergencies.
Our college isn't best for someone who's pursuing bsc mathematics hons but for someone who's doing bcom hons, bcom or eco hons, it is pretty great.
Undoubtedly,The shaheed bhagat singh college have a beautiful infrastructure providing all the necessary facilities that is important for students but only one problem that I was facing there that's why I giving four star there is no hostel facilities for students.A well equipped lab with good wi fi speed and availability of laptops are available.
To be very honest I completed my graduation degree in economics honours. If we talk about quality of teaching it was very impressive and helpful to enhancement of information.Curriculum is fully updated.
Our college gives the placement opportunities only those students who pursue bachelor's and master's degree in commerce and science.companies like HCL Wipro Byjus Urban company and many of the mass companies.College provides a wide number of intership opportunities.
Totally worth
College having also a common room for girls.
Dear Dilanshi,
Shahid Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is great in all the aspects. SBSC is accredited by grade 'A' by NAAC . The college has good infrastructure and great facilities too. It provides you with peaceful and happy environment to study. The faculty here is highly qualified and well experienced. I would suggest you to choose SBSC for bright future and yes it is great for pursuing B.com(bachelor's in commerce) program too. Also the p lacement cell of the college has a remarkable record.
Whereas,
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (ARSD) college is also accredited grade 'A' by NAAC. College has big lush green campus. This college also has a very active placement cell. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in which BCom hons program has its own good records.
Both colleges have its own popularity and are competitive of each other.
Hope this sorted your query.
Good Luck :)
