Shikshaa Institute of Advanced Technologies, Chengalpattu Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Shikshaa Institute of Advanced Technologies or SIAT was formerly known as VI Institute of Technology, Kancheepuram (VIIT). Situated at Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, SIAT provides undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and management programs. Under the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, it is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). SIAT's admission process has been set for selection of qualified candidates for different programs. The institute considers the performance in relevant entrance examinations and school academic records for admissions. 

For undergraduate engineering programs, usually, admissions are offered on the basis of state-level entrance exams or scores based on board exams, as is the case with engineering colleges in the State. With regard to admissions to postgraduate courses at SIAT, scores of specified entrance examinations have been considered. For example, scores from the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) are taken into account for the ME Embedded Systems Technologies program. Besides, some postgraduate programs are available for students who qualify with Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) scores.

Application Process

The application process for Shikshaa Institute of Advanced Technologies varies from the program:

1. Check your eligibility on the institute's website and apply for the program you want.

2. Register and write the appropriate entrance examination (e.g., state-level engineering entrance examination, CEETA-PG for M.E. Embedded Systems Technologies, TANCET for MBA programs).

Admission Process according to Degree

B.E./B.Tech Programs: The B.E. programs offered in SIAT cover undergraduate engineering programs such as Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, AI and Data Science, and AI and Machine Learning. Most of the courses will admit students based on state-level entrance exams or board exam scoring. The total B.E. programs in the institute have a total of 330 intake seats across various B.E. programs.

Program M.E: SIAT has introduced an M.E. program in Embedded Systems Technologies, where intake applicants will be based on the merits drawn from the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG). The approved total capacity of the program is 18 seats.

MBA Programs: The different categories of MBAs offered at the institute range from a general MBA to an MBA in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Admissions to these MBA programs may consider TANCET scores. Each of these MBA programs admits up to 60 students in total.

MCA Program: There is also a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program with an intake of 30 students. The admission process for this program may consider relevant entrance exam scores as well.
