Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bilaspur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Bilaspur and provides various engineering programs at both undergraduate and diploma levels. The admission in the institute is purely based on the merit of candidates on the national and state entrance examinations. The admission procedure is put in place to equip SIET with capable candidates for the engineering disciplines being offered. Application to SIET is released in the first quarter of the year and admission cycles align with the academic calendar so that students may be in session by August-September of every year. The entrance pathways for B.Tech programs are dual since JEE Main account for 50 percent of the total available seats with HPCET merit accounts for basically the remaining half.

3. Submit the entire filled application form together with all supporting documents required.
4. Pay the requisite amount for the application fee (amount to be confirmed from the institute's website).
5. Wait for the merit list or counseling notification.

For Diploma Programs:

1. Check the institute's website for application announcement.
2. Fill in the diploma application form available on the SIET website.

Admission Process with Degree Wise

B.Tech: SIET provides four B.Tech programs in the following fields: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Each program admits 60 students. The admission process for B.Tech is as below:

• Seat distribution for admissions will be such that 50% of total allocations will be favored on the basis of JEE Main test scores while for the rest 50%, merit from HPCET will be considered.
• Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, respectively, during their 10+2 education to get eligibility in the B.Tech programs.

Diploma: SIET offers diploma courses in Civil Engineering as well as Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Each diploma core has an intake of 60 students. Admissions process for diploma courses is not mentioned; however, candidates would have to satisfy the eligibility criterion of the institute, and probably need to writing some suitable entrance exams or selections based on their performance in the 10th standard examination.

Lateral Entry: Those admitted to the B.Tech and Diploma programs of SIET offer lateral entry options to directly join the second year of the B.Tech program after 10+2. Lateral entry is mostly set at 6 seats per specialty.
