SNGCET Kannur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

One of the most respected engineering colleges in Kerala, Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and Technology (SNGCET), Kannur, is located in Kerala. The institute offers different undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different engineering disciplines. It has a well-structured admission process whereby deserving candidates are selected to study at its programs.

At SNGCET Kannur, selection processes take place via entrance examination criteria. For the B.Tech admissions, KEAM, the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination score, is considered. Then GATE will be considered for M.Tech admissions. With this entrance test, SNGCET ensures a fair share and competition for its potential students.

Undergraduate entrances depend upon 10+2 qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for students seeking B.Tech courses. No specific cutoffs are mentioned, but generally, good marks in the mentioned subjects would be expected from students. SNGCET has an overall intake of 276 seats for different B.Tech programs.

Application Process

SNGCET Kannur application processes take place in a multiple stage:

1. For B.Tech Programs:   

1. Qualified for and appear for KEAM conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala.
2. Register for the centralized allotment process (CAP) after the publication of the KEAM results.
3. Select SNGCET Kannur and preferred courses during the counseling.   
4. Report to the college for document verification and admission procedures, once a seat is allotted.

2. For M.Tech Programs:

1. Qualify in the GATE examination.
2. Apply directly to SNGCET Kannur or through the centralized admission process, as applicable.
3. Attend counseling or interviews if called by the college.   
4. Complete the admission process by submitting required documents and paying fees.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech: SNGCET Kannur is providing six B.Tech programs namely, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Admission is done based on the KEAM score. The actual sanction is different for every program, out of which Computer Science and Engineering has the maximum sanction of 90 seats.

M.Tech: The college provides two M.Tech programs: Computer Aided Structural Engineering and Thermal and Fluid Mechanics Engineering. The basic admission criterion for these programs is GATE scores. The sanctioned intake is 24 for Computer Aided Structural Engineering, while there is no specification for Thermal and Fluid Mechanics Engineering.
