St. Xaviers college of Kolkata is a private institution for taking admission in higher studies situated in Kolkata. Selection in this college is done on the basis of 10+2 marks followed by an interview. Cut off for physics (hons) in this college is calculated through process mentioned below:
Physics (PHY) - 100 marks
Mathematics (MAT) - 100 marks
Evaluation of marks - (PHY X 3) + (MAT X 2)
The total will be of 500 marks.
Cut off set by Xavier's varies across different boards. The First merit list could be near 480-482 marks and the Second merit list could lie near 472-473 marks.

St. Xavier's College, Kolkata only offers UG and PG courses which can only be done after 12th or other equivalent examinations.
However, here is the eligibility criteria for St. Xavier's collegiate school for boys, Kolkata:
A student should have passed 10th standard with a minimum percentage of 65% in English.
For science stream, one should have secured a minimum of 85% in science and Mathematics together .
For commerce, a minimum of 75% aggregate is needed with a minimum of 65% in Mathematics.
For Arts, a minimum of 70% aggregate is needed.
Unfortunately, there is no reservation in general category.

My experiences at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, have been transformative and enriching in every sense. From the moment I walked through its historic gates, I felt a sense of belonging that only deepened over time. The college, with its rich heritage and vibrant academic culture, offered me much more than just an education. My professors were not just instructors but mentors who encouraged intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. The curriculum was challenging yet rewarding, pushing me to explore new areas of knowledge and expand my horizons.
The Library was good... The infrastructure is also very well maintained... hostel food was good.... They are giving a good facility and good food in hostel. In campus the wifi is available in computer's labs.
The college is good and provide the best facilities the the classrooms are roomy and nicely furnished with the newest technology. Every lab is made to support hands on leaning. the library has an extensive collection that is well stocked.
