TJS Engineering College, Thiruvallur as a self-financing college. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Tamil Nadu. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management. Admission at TJS Engineering College is very transparent and based on the merit of the candidates so that deserving candidates get an opportunity to pursue their choice of courses. Undergraduate engineering degrees admission is based on the qualifying examination (10+2) and merit in relevant entrance examinations. 

CEETA-PG scores are accepted for undergraduate programs in engineering and help in evaluating candidates' aptitude for engineering education. The admission to postgraduate programs like MBA and ME is based on the merit of candidates at graduation level and their scores in the eligible entrance examinations. TJS Engineering College considers Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for one such eligible entrance for the admission of postgraduate courses.

Admission Process

The application procedure of TJS Engineering College varies with respect to the program:

3. Make the required application fee payment as applicable by the college.

4. Please send the duly filled application form along with:

• mark sheets of 10 and 12.
• Transfer certificate.
• Community certificate (if any).
• Entrance score card (for applicable programs).
• Graduation mark sheets and graduation certificate (for applicants for PG).
• Any other documents mentioned by the college.

5. Eligible candidates for undergraduate engineering programs may have to undergo Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling.

6. For postgraduate programs, shortlisted candidates may be required to attend further selection rounds which may include written tests, group discussions, and/or personal interviews.

7. The chosen candidates then have to complete the admission formalities including document verification and payment of fees.

8. The college has to receive all the admitted students on the scheduled date of orientation and commencement of classes.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech/BE: Various programs of B.Tech and BE are offered at TJS Engineering College, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The admission for these programs is based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) with relevant entrance examinations. The total yearly intake for B.Tech/BE programs in the college is 360 seats, within which the highest number of seats are for the Computer Science and Engineering programs (90).

M.Tech/ME: The ME programs are in Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Design. In granting admission to these programs, undergraduate performance and scores in the relevant entrance test, TANCET are considered. In total, there are 27 seats available in the ME program.

MBA: The intake for the master's program is 60 seats. Admission procedures for MBA programs are based on performance in undergraduate studies and performance in the management entrance exams, including TANCET.
