College has pretty good infrastructure with all modern technologies and services , fully air conditioned with projectors In all classrooms. It has all the facilities available for a good spirte complex , also a swimming pool.
I am persuing BTech in Marine Engineering . College has excellent faculty . Most of them are retired from the Indian navy and others are coming back from the same profession we're going to step into..
The quality of placements have been deteriorating but moreover it's the number of cadets getting placed . Almost all eligible candidates get placed but the time duration required for this exceeds the graduation years. LoL ?
According to me the college is overpriced as it's affiliation is no more with BITS
If you're okay with some discipline in your life you'll enjoy a lot
Yes,our college have all the necessary and a well organised equipments and infrastructure including sports, workshops and academic section.our campus have wifi facility and the living spaces and the food is also very good here.
I am studying BTech in marine engineering. The quality is very good all the faculties are well trained . No I don’t think about updation in curriculum. Yes i do think that what we are studying is very enough for the job.
The placement is also very intact there maximum in our college. The percentage is about 90-95%. The highest salary package is 6 lacks per annum. Yes the placement process is very easy and pleasant for me and our college is also very supportive.
TMI is originally an off campus training institute of the prestigious BITS Pilani in the marine industry. The faculty mainly consists of ex defence personnels and likes of professors from IIT and BITS. TMI follows a strict NDA format of education. It has the state of the art sporting facilities. The campus is of 100 acres and also consists of a trainee ship on campus to give the cadets hands on training they require. It has essentially all the necessary facilities to facilitate a global industry
Initially it's very difficult to adjust in this environment. But eventually the discipline and routine becomes a part of who you are. Even though the curriculum is regulated by IMU (Indian Marine University), TMI workshop makes it a point to teach us a class apart education at par with today's requirements.
The shipping industry is going through a recession. But still TMI provides 100% placement for NS and 95% for ME cadets, and therefore in these tough times, TMI make sures its cadets are placed. Value for money indeed.
The 2019-23 batch is paying 18 lacs. I think the money is worth it because of the amount of knowledge you gain.
The life here is not like a regular college. This is a college such manufactures officers. Therefore it means strict discipline is must.
TMI is the best if you choose to pursue merchant marines.
The institute has all the required educational facilities including library , workshops , ship in campus and simulators for practical knowledge and hands-on experience. Both institute and hostel facilities are well maintained and managed.
The institute has highly qualified professors and instructors with years of experience in the marine industry. The curriculum includes all the knowledge and information required to transform to well trained seafarers.
TMI is best known for it's placement records over the years. Placement is almost 100% with national and international shipping companies recruiting from Tolani Maritime Institute. The institute prepares the students for selecting procedures and interviews.
It has all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment. It has 3 well equipped gyms, more than 10 types of sports , wi-fi, workshop and laboratories. The living spaces are cleaned by workers on daily basis.
The quality of teaching is really good. Faculties are really dedicated towards their job. They always complete syllabus before the deadline. They'll provide every handout and study material to make you the best.
Placements as compared to other maritime colleges are outstanding here. The nt department has almost 95% placement and me has 80% also the eto's are placed well. More than 15 companies visit college for campus selection.
Studying in this college is worth my money bc of the cleanliness, hygienic food, dedicated faculties, infrastructure, etc
Campus life here is quite hectic but the location of college is really good , the air is quite clean. It has it's own sickbay to handle medical problems.
