TR Abhilashi Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology (TRAMIET), is the top-ranking engineering college in Himachal Pradesh. It provides diversified streams of engineering courses at both B.Tech and Diploma levels. The admissions of aspiring engineers from varied backgrounds for TRAMIET is conducted purely through the merit mode. TRAMIET admission cycle usually corresponds with the entrance tests conducted at the national or state level. Admissions for B.Tech courses are based mostly on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, which is carried out in January and April every year. Besides that, the institution also recognizes the scores obtained in the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) that usually takes place in May.

Admission Process Degree wise

B.Tech: TRAMIET provides B.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission into these courses is on the basis of JEE Main scores and/or HPCET scores as well as direct admission for students who have scored a minimum of 45% marks in their 10+2 examination (40% for students in reserved categories). The number of seats for B.Tech programs is 120, of which Civil Engineering has 60, while Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering have 30 each.

Diploma: The institute also offers the Diploma programs in Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Each Diplom program has a cut-off of 30 in-take. The admissions into Diploma courses are based on merit in the qualifying examinations, to be further ascertained from the institute.
