Application Process

The application process to be adopted at Trichy Engineering College is very time consuming and involves taking certain admissions procedures so that they can be followed in an orderly, easy, and fair manner.

1. Online Application: Aspirants will first visit the official website of Trichy Engineering College for the application portal facility. Fill in six sections about personal and academic detail without a single error.

2. Document Submission: Candidates need to upload scanned copies of required documents such as: 10th or High School Marks list; 12th or higher secondary school marks list; Transfer Certificate; Community Certificate (if applicable); and a recent passport-size photograph.

3. Payment of Application Fee: The payment of the application should be done through online payment modes. Application fee may vary with respect to applicants from different categories.

4. TANCET Registration: TANCET candidates should register as per the regulations provided by Anna University conducting the TANCET.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.E. Programs: There are various Bachelor of Engineering programs offered in Trichy Engineering College. B.E. courses are strictly on the basis of qualifying marks obtained by the candidate in the 12th standard examination and/or TANCET score. Different B.E. programs offered with the respective number of seats are as follows: Computer Science and Engineering- 90 Seats; Electrical and Electronics Engineering- 60 Seats; Mechanical Engineering- 60 Seats; Mechatronics Engineering- 60 Seats; Electronics and Communication Engineering- 30 Seats; and Civil Engineering 30 Seats.

B.Tech programs: These programs are aimed at new technological areas. For example, the B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science would have intake capacity of 60 seats whereas B.E in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning would have intake capacity of 30 seats. Admissions to these programs would be in the same way as to other undergraduate engineering programs.

M.E. Programs: At the postgraduate level, Trichy Engineering College has offered courses in various specialties under Master of Engineering (M.E.) programs. M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and M.E. in Communication and Networking Engineering has 9 seats Each. Normally the eligibility criteria for admission are based on the undergraduate performance of the applicant, TANCET scores, and possibly an interview.
