Unitech Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mirzapur Admission Process
Unitech Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mirzapur (UIET Mirzapur) is affiliated to impart technical education to aspiring young engineering graduates. It is approved by AICTE-All India Council for Technical Education and has a well-established admission procedure for diploma programs. The admission to UIET is primarily based on Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics commonly known as JEECUP. Every year JEECUP is conducted for admission to a diploma engineering course.
The JEECUP Examination is conducted in the month of April or May in Uttar Pradesh by the Joint Entrance Examination Council. The entrance examination is meant for students who have completed either their 10th standard or 10+2 or ITI and pursue a diploma course in polytechnic engineering.
For admission into diploma programs at UIET Mirzapur, the eligibility requires that a candidate must have passed the 10th board examination with a minimum of 35% marks. This criterion applies to all three diploma courses as approved by the institute: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Production, Diploma in Civil Engineering, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Application Process
Admission in Diploma Courses at UIET Mirzapur will go through a process of applying.
1. JEECUP Registration: Candidate has to get registered online for the JEECUP examination on the official site. This means filling an online form and paying examination fees.
2. Entrance Exam: The candidate will have to report to the JEECUP center on the due date. The candidate will be tested in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry topics at the standard of the 10th grade.
3. Publishing Results: Results and rankings will be published by JEECUP after the examination, and students may view their results on the official JEECUP site.
4. Registration for Counselling: Candidates that made the ranks have to register for their counseling by paying the requisite fee, together with selecting their institutions and courses of choice.
5. Document Verification: Document verification shall be a mandatory process for all candidates listed in the shortlisting. Required documents for verification include:
- JEECUP rank card
- Mark sheet and passing certificate of class 10
- Category certificate, if applicable
- Domicile certificate,
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Any other documents as specified by the institute or JEECUP.
6. Seat Allocation: Allotment shall be based on the JEECUP rank of the candidate, choices made, and seat availability.
7. Fee Payment: Candidates will be required to deposit the admission fee after allotment of a seat to confirm their seat at UIET Mirzapur.
8. Reporting to the Institute: Candidates should report at UIET Mirzapur after completing seat allotment along with all original documents to carry out the admission formalities on the mentioned date.
Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma Programmes In all, UIET Mirzapur offers three of such diploma programs, each of three years' study, and a maximum intake of 54 students.
1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Production: This program focuses on manufacturing processes and techniques of machine design and production. It is governed by ranking in JEECUP. The requirement is to have passed 10th grade with a minimum of 35% marks.
2. Diploma in Civil Engineering: This holistically partakes in civil construction and covers structural engineering and project management. The entry requirements and rules for admission to this program are, however, similar to the Mechanical Engineering diploma since both require JEECUP rank and at least 35% marks in 10th grade exam.
3. Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This involves training on electrical systems, power generation, and distribution. The admissions conditions are similar to those of the other two diploma programs by implying the candidate must qualify in the JEECUP and have a 10th-grade score of at least 35%.
Selection is primarily made according to the rank gained by the candidate in the JEECUP examination for all diploma programs. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility requirements and possess valid ranks in the JEECUP will also be accommodated in the admission counseling process.
