Vidyarathna College of Nursing is an institution situated in Udupi. It has gained recognition over the years as an institution providing nursing courses under different programs. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc. Nursing Vidyarathna College of Nursing offers a 60 intake B.Sc. Nursing course. In all likelihood, admission will be based on marks scored by candidates in 10+2 science subjects and even a nursing entrance exam. B.Sc. Nursing provides holistic nursing education with focus on basic as well as practiced nursing care.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: This is an up-gradation program with 30 seats available for GNM diploma holders. The selection procedure may include consideration of the performance of the candidate in GNM and work experience in the field of nursing.
GNM- General Nursing and Midwifery: 50 seats GNM is mainly based on merit and science in 10+2. Students get admission there after their science results. Students learn the primary nursing education there and also some practical training there.
M.Sc. Nursing Specializations: Vidyarathna College of Nursing offers five specializations for M.Sc. Nursing courses: Community Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing. Although the exact number of seats available is not given, admissions are usually given on the basis of the performance of the candidate in B.Sc. Nursing and entrance exam or interview.

College fees do not depend on entrance tests like NEET, CET etc., It is based on category of the college that is either government or private. More than that, the college do charges for the facilities it provides like well furnished library, well educated teachers, a good staff etc.
It also depends on the infrastructure of the college and number of students usually takes admission out of all available seats.
If you want to save your money, I will suggest you to go for government college. But if you are not getting a top government college, and want placement then go for top private colleges instead. It depends on your plans, if your goal is to study further you can choose lower rank government colleges also.
